No it was finite for 13-14 episodes only. Each episode had budget of 50 lakhs that also in 2003 as per an article.

Ek ke most of shows me leads hi jadatar focus me rehte hai but that wasnt case with YHM.....in YHM many actors used to get more importance but now in spinoff yhc due to less characters now drama only revolve around lead couple and track villain of the show (like currently mahima is main villain, isse pahle yuvraj tha)
Actually har show me family members ko bhi importance milna chahiye.....har baar female lead jaake unke masle suljhayegi toh woh bahut boring lagta hai kabhi kabhi unko khud ko bhi apne problems suljhane do
