Varuns audience was always the young ones and they now moved on to Tiger or Kartik. Kids loose interest fast and take the next one around the corner. He doesn’t get the kind of audience love for his acting like the two R‘s enjoying.

He tried but it didn’t work out as he thought it would be but it’s even worse when his much loved masala type of movies wont work too.

Wrong script time after time. Also he isn't a good actor who can carry a bad film. Plus his so called Pr strategy was garbage and it backfired on him. He picks trashy movies mostly.

His fanbase moved to Tiger who is a better mass hero material.
