Ekta's monopoly was also dwindling around the time PKYEK went off air, Balaji did not hold the kind of power it did in the 2000s. There were corporates and other channels emerging who did not need Ekta...so she couldn't really do anything to Vivian. After all if another channel wants him what can one producer do? Colors did not need Ekta, she needed them for Naagin.

I kinda wish he picks up a show on Sony, seems like they have better shows than the other mainstay channels

Sony doesn't get super high numbers na..and Viv's had a crazy streak from PKYEK to Shakti...he wouldn't want to compromise on that.

Yeah that's true...and actually Sony's does much better in non fiction for some reason, like none of the fiction channels can give takkar to Sony in that category.

And TV in general has become so terrible, imo TV shows only should get banned 🤣

All of their major target audience is senior citizens...in some years when we become their main audience they won't get viewership coz we've moved to OTT.
