well, the role was anyways questionable so i cant exactly blame him tbh...i just couldnt understand how his role would contribute to the scope of the story...

Well honestly . Makers did a great job definitely he is not a positive character so they made him grey shade. Giving a lesson to the viewers Blind trust isn't always the right key !
