this! by no means should SSR be remembered just for his acting. He was so passionate about science/space, and helping those who needed it. It would have been super to take forward his aim to send select kids to nasa summer camp each year or lend his name to another one of his causes.

Absolutely. SSR does not have the body of work to warrant this award, instead the only thing that brought him peace and happiness would be far more worthy, like a scholarship fund for those students who excel in science or like you said a summer camp would be great!
