However I feel Karma Points will be more fun as it not be just on posts but also other activities on the site which India Forums has to offer. So most of the activity you do on the site will reward certain points. Even getting badges will have some points.

Once we have a full fledged system we will be building redemption system where you get certain perks, special features. (Still in ideation stage)

Hopefully by Monday we will be able to complete the monthly badges system so 4 members will be getting January 2021 badges for:

• Most Comments (counts comments which are 5 words or more)
• Most Posts (counts posts which are 10 words or more)
• Fascinator (person who has received maximum reaction on Posts)
• Expressionist (member who has given most reactions on posts)

Any guesses who will win those badges?

I am loving this badge system Vijay sir .. I hope lots of members win these exciting badges and it attracts more n more members to join our forum .

Is it possible to add hide and display certain badges like if we want to pick and choose which ones we want to show.and which ones to hide under the username or permanently hide and keeps it for ourselves that will be cool too

We will certainly look into this at a later stage as we complete our current task list.

To name a few we are working on:

- Karma Points

- Mention (where member can tag other member in a post and they get notified)

- Q&A style topics. Any member can ask a question and others answer it and the topic maker or mods can mark it as the correct answer which gets marked as the correct answer.

- Vote Up / Down topics

what are vote up/down topics?? Please elaborate on that and also on karma points

For example a topic I have asked for site suggestions. Users can post their suggestions and if there is a particular suggestion others also agree they can vote it up so it will come on the top of the topic page. So basically it helps show the most agreed posts first. Another example could be that we have Banner contest and each user can post their entries and members can simply vote up the one they like the most so we won't have to do a separate voting thing or manually count. It would be very easy to simply check the order and decide. The only limitation would be that users won't be able to quote in such topics as it would break the flow. I am sure there are many other use cases for such topics.

wouldnt the voting up threads be a problem for those members who want to see posts in order of date and time?

bold- this one is huge, it will definitely be a spark to initiate conversation and increase communication, wherein members get notified when someone tags them and we necessarily need not quote each and every post especially for creations gallery and such threads👍🏼
