Most of the times I do little bit of research like population of Nagpur, I usually have Nagpur and Chandrapur ka map out while writing, I do lot of research on medical stuff becos getting that wrong is careless. This one I took liberty, I am neither in police nor in the medical field, so have to kind of do research.
But when I saw your message, I asked a colleague whose dad is retired policeman, and she told me, sometimes depending on the nature of the case, police have known to save documents in their personal folders in case something happens to them. But that is also hearsay, not that it is allowed or disallowed. Phew!,, 🤪🤪

so now you realize why I don’t get much time for anything else..when someone commented to make the formatting better, I was like hey ram!! Itne paise main itna hi milega!! 😂😂

Woww! The amount of efforts you take to deliver this story to us is just👏 from the medical details you add, I always thought you might be in that field but am quite surprised to know that you don't belong to that field😲 coz I never felt that 👏although I too don't belong there so can't exactly tell how much you are correct in that one, but your efforts are commendable👏and about the chapter, as usual a nice one👍🏼 good built up for their next meeting...Sai is now feeling ignored by him, missing him😳glad that she is slowly getting there😳

I really really love Shivam after this update ❤❤❤. I'm pretty sure Shivam is going to be the cupid for our Sairat 😍😍😍. And Virat......🤭🤭🤭🤭 he is already getting irritated when Ai asked Shivam to check Sai out. He doesn't want anyone else to look at his girl even though he himself won't admit he is still in love with her🤣🤣🤣 Will our ACP punch Shivam in the face the same way he did to his brother if Shivam tries to get all chatty with Sai??? I hope it happens...not the punching part. But him making friends with Sai. Just to see our jealous boy's face....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

And Sai is playing cat and mouse with Virat!!! 🤣🤣🤣 She herself doesn't want to face Virat but slightly hurt that he gave rose's to all. I just don't know what to do with these two adorable idiots 🤩🤩🤩🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Annnnddddd....... Ai and Ninand stopping by at Chandrapur seems really suspicious to me. Since Ninand is already much impressed with Sai and Virat said the girl should be of Ninand's choice too......are they going to do what I think they gonna do??????🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

An awsome update like usual dear author. After knowing about all the efforts you put into your writing, I just wanted to say that you are really admirable 🤩👍🏻. I had this part ready, so am posting it, may have another one for tonight, as long as I get comments on this one. The following is part 8A to show continuity into the weekend. I know I may get some major chappals for this part, but please be patient, just as you have all been so far. This is and will always remain a SAIRAT LOVE story and the good news is this will go beyond 10 parts - I hope that’s good news. I am missing @rekha_crn.

Part 8A

Her father calls out, “Kaun hai? Arre ACP Virat, ya ya ..” she moves aside and lets him in and leaves them alone. Her father has opened his laptop and is showing Virat certain files and documents, she can’t really make out, but all she can see is Virat standing respectfully, having removed his cap and put it on the dining table. Sai shakes her head when she automatically imagines herself wearing the cap and poking her tongue out. She tells herself she is thinking these things because she is going to miss her father. She begins to get her suitcase to the living room when her phone rings, it’s Shilpa who is supposed to drop her at the bus station. She announces, “Shilpa ka hai” and she hits enter, “Hello..kaha hai tu? Pandhra minute mei nikalna hai..oh!!..it’s ok...Nahi nahi...all the best!” She hangs up, two pairs of eyes stare at her from the dining table.

“Voh nahi aa sakti, Pune hospital ka phone hai uske liye, interview hai lagta hai”. Her father immediately says, “Arrr tu rukk main abhi ready hoke chodh deta hun” she makes a face, “Abba, please, aap Kuch kaam kar rahe ho na, aur aap puri raat soye bhi nahi thik se, bus stand hi toh hai, Mai chali jaungi” Virat pipes in, “constable bahar jeep ke saath hai, voh chodh sakta hai”. Before she can answer, her father says, “very good! Hamara kaam bhi baaki hai, tumhe drop karke vaapas aane ko bol dena.” Her father gets up from the table and comes and hugs her, she bends to touch his feet but he stops her and kisses her on her forehead, muttering, “savkaash” Virat leaves them alone and steps out to instruct the constable. She comes out and he helps her with the suitcase, she waves to her dad and Virat shuts the jeep door when she is seated inside and whispers “See you soon, Just Sai” she rolls her eyes and says “hum ek hi city mei hone vale hai, iska matlab yeh nahi ki we will see each other” and his response is his smirk which just irritates her to no end.

She is seated on the bus, next to an elderly gentleman, right upfront, she wanted to actually sit in the first seat, but the driver stopped her saying it’s reserved. She looks around and realizes all the window seats were taken, better sit in front then behind. She sits next to the old uncle, calling him uncle twice while settling down so that he knows his place. Someone yells to start the bus, she is hoping the person in front seat is not going to turn up and she can sit there, the driver yells back that he is moving in five minutes. The bus starts to move, and she sighs in relief thinking she can move up, only for her to be able to see shoes running along the bus and Virat jump into the bus, in all his police finery and a satchel under his arm. The driver grins and says “Kya saheb, main darwaza band karne vaala thaa, mujhe lagaa ki aap miss karoge” Virat grins and turns and looks at Sai straight in the eye and says “Miss karne ka sawal hi paida nahi hota”. He starts to sit in front of her, his hand on the back of the seat, so close to her, she looks away and the driver pipes in, “Voh madam vaha baithna chahti thi, Maine kaha reserved hai” Virat looks at her with a serious face and says, “Aap baithna chahte ho, toh baith sakte ho” she tightens her jaw, looks straight at him and says, “No thank you” He has a huge grin and says plonking himself in between the two seater, “Thank you toh Vaise mujhe kehna chahiye” she glares at him through the seat gap and looks away. No way is she going to open her varan bhaat and share it with him. The uncle next to her also grins exposing his silver teeth, she shudders and curses her life.

It’s more than an hour later, she has been reading her book in the back seat, glancing at him through the front seat gaps once in a while, he has not turned at all to look at her. He is looking at his documents and keeps messaging and checking his phone. In some time, she herself nods off, the bus goes over a bump and the uncle next to her lands his face halfway down her shoulder and chest, she yelps and wakes up. She automatically stands up, looks around. It seems like the bus has made a pit stop, she realizes in her half sleep half disgusted state that Virat isn’t on his seat, she clutches her bag and her book and moves into his seat, leaning to the window. This is where he finds her, when he enters the bus, on his seat near the window fast asleep. He climbs into the bus and the old man in the back seat grunts loudly and he cleans his snort with his hand and wipes it down on the seat, Virat gags and immediately sits down next to her.

With half an hour away from Nagpur, she wakes up to find herself half on his shoulder and his forehead on her head. The bus has made the last pit stop and she immediately shifts, he moves and puts his head on top of the seat, she gets up gingerly and makes her way to the bathrooms at the pit stop. As she washes her face, a lady from the bus is washing her hands, looks at her in the reflection and giggles, “Kitna handsome hai tujha navra” she is shocked, her hands shake under the water. She returns to the bus, he is awake and almost has a sigh of relief seeing her, and a small smile. He immediately moves his legs to make way for her, she instead walks and sits next to the uncle in her original seat. He shakes his head and exhales exasperated and sits back in his chair. They reach Nagpur within the next half hour, in fact she is surprised when he gets down the bus along with her in front of the medical camp. He waits at one end, while she fetches her suitcase and this bus drives away to the next stop before the final destination of Nagpur station.

She rolls her suitcase on the road leading to inside the camp hq and registration, and he seems to be following her. She is irritated to no end, she suddenly turns and says “Aap kya kar rahe ho?” He looks at her in seriousness, “Chal raha hun” she rolls her eyes, “Mera matlab hai yahaa kyu mere peeche” he looks at her and before he can say anything, a young man with a doctor’s coat comes rushing to him, “ACP Virat Sir, hum aapko kal expect kar rahe the, Senior doctor ne phone karke bola tha ki police inspection hogi har hafte, kya yeh gang crime ka problem bahut serious hai kya?” Virat glances at Sai who is now visibly embarrassed at her outburst, and then looks at the young man and says, “Hi Dr.Aniket, haan mujhe kal aana thaa, but mujhe Bandhara se aate der ho gayi, aur phir aaj savere Chandrapur jaana thaa, so here I am. Hum baaki baatei andar jaake karei?” Dr. Aniket nods and then looks at her, “I am sorry Dr. Sai Joshi?” She smiles and nods, Aniket grins, “Aap ko bhi expect kar rahe the, welcome. Registration uss taraf hai, Mai just Sir ko milke aapko join karta hun, vahan ek madam hogi, head nurse, Ms. Abigail, voh sab Kuch samjha degi,” Sai nods and the three of them make their way into the heart of the camp. Sai, sheepishly walks way ahead of the men and Virat looks at her back while Aniket keeps chattering away.

“Aap pehli madam doctor hai iss camp mei” Abigail says, “baaki dono male doctors, senior doctor Pulkit, phir aapke jaisa Dr Aniket, Main head nurse aur do nurses hai jo shifts pe rehti hai, aapko mere saath room share karna padega, voh kya hai, sirf vohi room attached bath ke saath aata hai. Do bed hai aur ek sofa, kaafi comfortable hai. Single room chahiye toh bathroom Dr Aniket ke saath share karna padega, bolo kya mangtai?” . Sai without hesitation says, “Aapke saath share kar lungi, ladke ke saath bathroom share karne ke liye ...jitney bhi paise mil rahe hai, kaam hai” the ladies laugh. Just then Virat and Aniket join them, and Abigail announces to Sai, “Vaise aur Kuch chahiye toh, ACP saab ka ghar paas mei hi hai, aur unki family har Wednesday ko camp ke workers ke liye Khana bhejte hai, ACP aapka weekly check in late ho gaya, not good ACP!” Virat grins and says, “Sister Abigail, aap bataya punishment, Mai haste haste seh lunga” and there is that wink, which has Abigail completely overjoyed and Sai slightly uneasy. Abigail replies, “punishment yeh hai ki aap Dr. Sai Joshi ko mera kamra dikha dijiye, Dr. Aniket aap chaliye mere saath, voh rotavirus ka patient ka blood count dodgy hai”

Sai’s uneasiness travels like a heat wave that can’t be missed, it quietens Virat who looks at her and walks ahead of her, she follows dragging her suitcase on its rollers, it’s a short walk to a 3 storey building which has a huge covered hall on the ground floors and storage rooms on the second floor. The third floor has four doors, Virat carries her suitcase which she doesn’t argue about and he points to the other three doors stating, “common bath, male dorm, nurses dorm” and pulls out the keys and opens the door closest to the stairs, “Yeh hai Sister Abigail ka kamra jo share karne vaali ho, voh hai attached bath aur ..baaki details unse puch sakti ho” . She comes forward looking at everything around her, neat and tidy. There is a sofa with some chairs and a small attached kitchenette. There are two tiny rooms which barely have space for a bed and one side table, the godrej cupboard in the rooms forces one to walk sideways in the room. He walks around in the sofa area and opens the curtains allowing the sun to fill up the room, she comes out and smiles at that, while he wants to tell her that she is the only sunshine he wants in his life.

He is about to say something, when she says “Mai aapse Kuch kehna chahti hun” he is taken aback, it’s not her words, it’s her tone and thank god for it, because there in the back of his mind, he knows exactly what is coming and the front where his heart is slowing down fears it too, “Kahiye” she is taken aback at him being respectful, almost like he is ready to put some distance, and funnily without his intention, it gives her strength albeit with some hesitation, to say, “Mai...Mai aapke family ko bahut respect karti hun aur Mai unko galat impression nahi dena chahti” she pauses, hoping he will get it, he is not letting her off so easy, he tilts his body slightly while putting his hands in his pockets and casually states, “Mai samjha nahi, unhe galat impression kyu hoga?” she stares back at him slightly peeved that he is acting like he doesn’t know what he is talking about, “ Aap jaante hai Mai kya kehna chahti hun” Virat shakes his head and says flatly, “Nahi Mai nahi jaanta” they stare at each other, he challenging her, she accepting it and replies flatly back, “I am not interested, Mai aap mei interested nahi hun, so please aap mujhe....” He stares at her, she is unable to complete her sentence, she looks down, and she can’t see the hurt in his eyes, he takes one of his hand out of his pocket, turns and keeps the keys on the small table, opens the door and walks out, shutting the door on her face, she sighs and plonks down on her sofa and finds her hands shaking, she puts them under her thighs over the sofa she is seated on to calm herself down, only to realize her legs are shaking, she bends and takes the varan bhat dabba from her bag and for the first time in her life, her favorite varan bhaat is tasteless.

Virat is confused with sai's reaction. I think sai don't want to complicate things between them. But virat should not have said yes to the marriage. He should have taken some time to make his mood better.

Sai was missing virat. But she is not admitting her feelings.

yaar tum log are such smarty pants, Gayatri has tots figured it out only, I think mujhe aage likhne ki zrurat hi nahi hai 🤷🏽‍♀️👩🏽‍💻😛😍.

But this means I have some great readers and I am dropping hints too soon in the story!! 😱💗 but I love my hints, mujhe lagta hai uske bina mazaa nahi hai, but I should be more smart about them. Will try 😜😛💕💕

Sai is really struggling with her feelings, she is not the person who just acts half heartedly, she has to have conviction, but who knows how things make us change ourselves

You are very sweet to say this. Actually in my previous SS - one reader was in the medical field so one of her comments actually helped me write a nice update. I like researching- bada mazaa aata hai aur naye situations ko creative banata hai. But I have taken lot of liberties also, half of the police valla stuff is made up for sure, I try with medical stuff, anyway now iss thread pe doctors ki dharna ho sakta hai 😁😁

You have killer one liners in this story..first the cab driver and now Shivam.. Tu aadmi hai ya pajama.kitna dheela hai tu 🤣🤣 killed it. Feels like Shivam is here to bring these two idiots close and closer ❤️

So yes this is Virat's first time in love so definitely the guy doesn't knows how to deal with it.

Sai is missing Virat and trying to avoid so that it doesn't spills out.

With Shivam coming into picture and weekend plans I guess we are going to see Virat and Sai finally meeting after 2 months.

The pent up emotions are sure to make some sparks fly.

Part 9A

His alarm went off at 5am, he has been up every day these past two months at this time, missed breakfast at home and gone straight to the police station. This bhiku gang situation always seems to be slipping from his fingers, he knows that this is a big case for him. Breakfast and lunch comes for him from home, and now that Shivam is here they get taken care of. Between Shivam’s network and the network he has built, they are close, he can feel it. He thinks about it while sipping his Horlicks at his kitchen counter, puts his cup down, grabs his keys which are always flung on the counter and leaves to get to work.

Her alarm goes off at 6am, she mixes herself some Horlicks, the last that is left of the packet, takes a shower, she notices Abigail’s room shut, she wonders about it, sleeping or checking on that patient? She thinks of knocking on the door, but decides not to, gets ready as soon as possible so she can release her. She shuts the door and is about to come down the stairs, when Aniket walks up. He seems so tired, she decides not to ask him anything and she just pats his upper arm and they pass by.

She is next to the patient and a shift nurse informed her, that Abigail is at the room sleeping and that she will come down in an hour. Sai nods. Suddenly, the patient moves and Sai notices that bandages have been removed from side of the face, it seems like the face is healing and she suddenly stills. She recognizes the patient, it’s the vada pav informer that Virat met with, the guy with the pregnant wife. Her mind travels fast, he has been beaten up badly. So obviously he knows something, or worse the gang is still after him, she looks around, the shift nurse has stepped away, she immediately starts to check his vitals through the night on his sheet. She stands and walks to the end of the bed, and starts checking his sheet.

There is a loud grunt from the bed, Sai rushes to his side, he opens one eye and mutters, “Doctor madam, Aap?!” She nods, “Shh..shh..tum thik ho jaoge”, he mutters again, “ACP saab aaye nahi milne, plij, unko bulayiye”. She nods closer to his face and whispers, “Abhi bulati hun, tum rest le lo.” He mutters again, “Pench se kaafi dur, kissi se Kuch mut kahiye” and falls unconscious again. She yells for the shift nurse, who comes running, and says, “Inn pe dhyaan do, and if needed, dopamine ka dose badha do, main abhi aayi”. She then suddenly turns and asks, “Inka admit kal kitney bajje hua?” The nurse reads the chart and says “do bajje” Sai continues sternly, “Aur ACP saab kitne bajje aaye the?” The nurse blushes and replies “shayad teen bajje”. Sai rolls her eyes and walks out of the camp irritated.

As she walks out, her irritation and anger slowly building. She looks around and spots an auto with the driver sleeping inside, she starts yelling, “Bhaiya,..” he barely wakes up and says, “Kya hai sone do!” She yells back, “sona hi thaaa toh auto mei kyu so rahe ho? Ghar pe so lete!” The auto guy gets up “chillati kyu hai?” She glares at him, “Deere se bolti toh uth jaate aap!?.” The guy gets up and starts telling her off as he steps out of the auto loooks at her garb, “ghar pe baiko ka chillana, bahar doctor ka chillana, chalo baitho” he washes his face and starts the auto, “abb kya??” Sai retorts, “Kya?!” He turns and looks at her, “Mujhe kya sapne mei aayaega, aapko kaha jaane ka hai?” Sai makes a face, “police station”. He nods and starts the auto. By the time, they reach, her emotions are at peak. She realizes she has no money, she turns to the auto guy who looks at her and says, “koi nahi mai idhar hi baitha hai, vapas chodh dunga, paisa tab de dena.” She nods and marches towards the station.

Shivam is standing against the shelf of files, located near the entrance of Virat’s room and Virat is seated at his desk, finishing some reports and looks up when Sai just marches into the room, opening the swivel quarter door the swings both ways, that because of her force, almost hits Shivam standing on the side whose shocked face combined with Virat’s shocked heart and standing up pales in comparison to Sai’s oncoming rant, “Aapka admi lat put ho raha hai aur aap,..ho ke, usse mile bina camp se nikal hi gaye”..Virat stares at her with a soft “Kya?” Sai continues yelling, “Aapko kya lagta hai? Sab ke liye roses leke aana, aur ladies ke saath flirting karna..yeh sab karne se kya hone vaala hai? Zrurat kya thi?? Patient ki checking kyu nahi ki? Jiss kaam ke liye aaye the, voh toh kiya hi nahi, buss rose king banne mei busy the”.... She glares at his shocked cum confused face, while she hears a voice from behind, “Bilkul sahi, Aise nahi karna chahiye thaa mujhe” Shivam nods as walks ahead while he talks.

Sai is shocked, she didn’t realize, there was another person in the room, she turns with a shock on her face and then glances at Virat who looks narrowly at Shivam who continues with mock seriousness, “Lekin maine socha ki Valentine’s Day pe ladies ko encourage karna chahiye, kitna Kuch karte hai hamare liye”. Sai stares at him, “Voh aap the? Mujhe laga..” and she points a finger at Virat who stands putting his fingers in his pocket rolling his eyes at Shivam who doesn’t seem to stop, “Arrey yeh Virat, voh to kissi ko bhi roses nahi deta, aapko toh pata hai, oh sorry aapko kaise pata hoga? Voh toh sirf sabko headache detaa hai. Roses toh maine, ACP Shivam Ghokale , Pune branch, ne diya tha..” he puts his hand forward and Sai with a small smile shakes it firmly, Shivam, “Aap chai peeyenge? Chai nahi Horlicks!” She takes her hand away, surprised, “Jee?!?!” Shivam continues gleefully, “Mera matlab hai yeh toh headache ka station hai na, banda sirf Horlicks pita hai, toh Horlicks hi milegi” She presses her lips together to stop herself from smiling, when Virat with a deep steely voice says, “Aap iskeliye aaye the??”

Sai stares at him, there it is that formal tone again. She swallows and says, “Voh aapka informer vada pav valla camp mei hai, kissine uski bahut pitayi ki hai, voh aapkeliye puch raha thaa.” Virat rushes away from his desk immediately, “come on, let’s go, Shivam tu constable ko leke recorder ke saath pahunch testimony vahi le lenge, Aap chaliye mere saath”. Sai nods and they rush out of the station, he is about to get to his jeep and she says, “Mai auto mei pahunch jaungi, aap vaha aa jayiye” Virat is confused, “Kya?!” She looks at the auto and says, “Voh mai auto mei jaldi aa gayi toh Paise nahi they, voh ruka hai mere liye” he looks at the auto driver who waves enthusiastically at them.

Virat shakes his head and walks with her to the auto, he sits with her inside and says “Govind, tere ko vaha kissliye rakha thaa, Pavya vaha pahunch gaya aur tune bataya nahi?” Govind looks into the rear view mirror and says, “Saab, mere ko malum nahi thaa aur upar se, bhikku ka chela vahaa puraa raat thaa..meri nazar uspe thi, mujhe strike nahi hua ki voh pavya ke liye rukaa hai, Achaa hua na saab, aaaj savere se bhiku ka chela dikhayi nahi de raha, Shivam Sir ko bhejke bahut ismaart job kiyaa” Sai just stares at them, while Virat says, “Abb tum bhi issmart bano aur nazar thik se rakhna” The auto driver grins at the rear view mirror but something is off, it seems like ACP and doctor madam don’t like each other, they seem to look everywhere except at each other. Wonder if he needs to report this too??!

They are at the bedside of Pavya, who is muttering something slowly, it’s barely getting recorded. Shivam looks at Virat and shakes his head. Virat looks at Sai and says, “Kya usne aap se Kuch kaha thaaa?” She looks around and the shift nurse is looking at her. She looks at the semi conscious state of Pavya and then at Virat who yells, “Abb chup kyu ho? Vaha police station ko sar pe chadha liya thaa” Shivam sternly, “Virat”. Virat takes Sai by the elbow and walks to the supply room, he shuts the door and immediately says, “Tumse Kuch kaha thaaa?” Sai glares at him, “Aap chilla kyu rahe hai?” Virat rolls his eyes and glares back, “Tum pe nahi chillaunga toh kisspe? Baat tumse hi toh ki Usne” She glares back at him and says, “Aap mujhe Tum mut kahiye, aap kahiye”. Virat is taken aback, stares at Sai, they stare at each other for a few seconds and Virat with a frustrated tone says, “Ek din mai marjaunga tumhare peeche” Sai is taken aback, she says softly, “Aisa mut kahiye..usne sirf yehi kahaa ki Pench se kaafi dur” Virat replies softly, “Buss itna hi” She nods and continues, “Buss itna hi, phir kaha kissise mut kehna aur behosh ho gaya.” Virat nods.

They stare at each other, Virat says, “Thank you.” She nods, “It’s ok” Virat smirks and says “Thank you toh aapko kehna chahiye” Sai smiles back, “Agli baar Pavya se kahiye vada pav leke aaye” Virat grins and is about to say something, when Shivam pushes the door open and says, “Virat chalte hai, I think we have got something” Virat nods and leaves the room. Shivam grins at Sai, “Dr. Sai I will see you soon” Sai smiles and nods. They leave the constable at the camp and both the handsome men in their uniforms get into the jeep with all the nurses swooning over them. Aniket drops by and asks Sai, “What did I miss?” She looks at Aniket and grins “Unless you swing the other way, nothing!” Aniket stares at the scene and chuckles and looks at Sai and both burst out laughing.

Virat watches them laughing and Shivam says, “Humne Ramtek fort aur khindsi mei check nahi kiya, lekin hum immediately jaayenge toh shaq ho jaayega, Saturday ko ladkiyon ke saath jaa raha hun, tab check kar lu, suspicion kum hogi”. Virat continues watching Sai chatting away with Aniket and he says, “Mai bhi aa raha hun.” Shivam is surprised and then looks at the direction his friend is staring ...and starts laughing, “Ole le le mere dudh peete bache ko ice cream khilaa do” he teasingly says while holding Virat’s chin who flings Shivam’s hand away and announces “Gaadi Chalaa” Shivam bursts laughing and starts the jeep.
