Aryaaa 🤗

I was waiting so badly for your post...usually I never check the main forum much, but kal se I have been stalking there😆

Now Nezu has pretty much said most of what I feel but I will still give my 2cents!

This show is quite different from the usual fare on ITV, esp considering it is an EK show, and this difference is its USP. So, what is the USP...that it is fast paced and less dramatic. And that is what I am loving about this show.

Any other show would have shown divine connection, Mata ki chunari (hint hint😉) , Purvi's sindoor-daani falling down...etc etc. But our show has stayed away from this faltu drama. The pace is another thing I am very happy about. I know it seems to fast at times, but they finish off any track in a max of a week's time. That is an achievement for any ITV show which make me very proud of the writers.

Now coming to the points you have raised about lack of emotional scenes. Is it because we are running ahead of ourselves here? We already know that PurVir will happen and are working everything backwards. But truth is that the characters have not yet progressed that much...they have only just started getting comfortable with each other, have started needing each other and more imp, trusting each other. Yes the attraction between them is undeniable but they have not consciously realised it yet...Vir is more aware but then he is also more experienced.

This journey of Purvi & Virendra will culminate into PurVir only when it navigates the stages & expectations of other relationships. She has to be accepted as the kids' mother & the bahu of the family before she becomes Vir's wife in the true sense of the word. And even for Vir, he is yet to break the shakles of his love for Sakshi...right now he is purely focussing on fulfilling her dreams & expectations (remember Vir's thoughts in the scene where he applies Mehendi to her?)

If you observe, there are quite some parallels of this show with KZK1. Rish did not fall in love with Prerna the woman...he fell in love with the mother of his children. Here as well, Vir will fall in love with Purvi, but only after her place as the mother of his children is firmly cemented. The first step which they have now conquered is that Purvi has to be accepted as the true mother of the kids. And now they will move ahead...one hurdle at a time!

I agree with you on one point...almost complete absence of monolouges is an area where the writers can improve since that is the best way for the character to convey his emotions to the audience. Rish's monolouges in KZK1 were to die for😳

But you know the saying, right...kisi ko mukkammal jahan nahi milta...😳

So hold on...I am sure the writers are planning one hell of a ride for PurVir and us❤️

One more point I strongly feel is that as audience, we should only focus on the story and not on the TRPs. That is the makers' headache.

If we start worrying about the acceptance of the show, we are somewhere pushing the writers to deliver substandard stuff just bcoz the majority wants that. And then starts a vicious circle.

To break this circle, we have to wholly support and encourage the writers to be different from the riff-raff. Then even if the show is cut short, so be it...quality over quantity, right?

This episode was a bit of sunshine, a bit of storm...

As in both sides of the argument are correct.... Purvir were established as good parents and promise keepers....but purvi ka distress, breakdown, almost break down, kuch bhi na mila....

She was afraid on seeing mukhi like that on the scooty, agreed. Time kam mein promise completion was necessary, agreed. But, wo jo ek anticipation tha, itne os likhe sab ne....ki kuch toh akele mein hi sahi...purvi bolegi ya sochegi ki kaise she was affected, even though unknowingly, that part missing out was...ummm nope....not done....

Thoda sa hi dikha dete....but then again bohot factors hote hain makers ke....

So respecting all that and more..... hopefully yeh log thoda aur build up kare purvir ke beech ki comfort level..... itna jaldi itna comfortably haath pakadna...mera crush ek baar haath pakad le toh khush ho ke jump kar jau...and am a bit of a monkey....

Purvi toh kaafi reserved hote hue bhi kuch situations mein wo tingling sensation, that epic feeling of her falling slowly slowly...wo dikh nahi raha...and vir ka Sakshi jaap also i miss...bus wo angst dikha de..baaki jo smoothly le jao np....

Bas.... that's my view....

Jiya the diplomat ❤❤❤ kaise dono side ko appease kiya hai.

I was talking about that anticipation only that had us excited throughout the weekend. That we'll get to see Purvi lose her mind over Virendra's injuries. And all I'm saying is ki that expectation wasn't met properly. And because of that I'm not 100% satisfied with episode 61. That's not to say that the episode was bad. It was a good episode.

Haan maybe you are right on this point. However, in my view, Purvi caring about Mukhi, of getting restless if he gets hurt should be sort of a constant thing.

What I'm trying to say is that the two of them falling in love is the story of this show. That's the underlying track that started from episode 1 and will continue till the last episode of the show. The other tracks are the variables. So what I'm trying to say is ki imagine the PurVir journey as say a journey from Mumbai to Delhi. They can't take a flight because they have to take the journey slow. And all the other tracks like Sudha drama or painting drama are different vehicles. Some will take them closer to the destination fast, some will slow them down and some will cause them to go backwards. The vehicles will change but the journey has to be a constant.

Now let's see what happens with the Valentine's Day episode but imagine this alternate reality version.

All throughout the Vaipri marriage track, along with the romantic scenes, we got monologues too. Of how Purvi is slowly falling for Vir.. Show an emotionally distraught Purvi because she had almost lost Vir (I'm saying this because Vir accused Vaibhav of trying to murder him in today's episode instead of attacking him. So Vir thinks the attack could have been fatal) And on the other hand, have monologues from Vir's side about how he just wants to be Purvi's good friend as he can't give her his wife's place. Then comes Valentine's Day episode where Purvi says, 'I want to say something to you'. Imagine the dread in us now, because we know that she's about to confess and Vir will surely break her heart. Imagine the tension that creates in us.

But because the show doesn't give us monologues or emotional scenes, we don't know anything about what Purvi is feeling, if she's in love already or just has a crush on him and how Vir is going to react in case she's going to confess about her feelings for him.

And I know you will all tell me, but that's the suspense man.

Umm so I'm going to paraphrase the great Hollywood director, Alfred Hitchcock here. Consider two scenes..

Two people are sitting at a table, talking about a sport when suddenly a bomb goes off. The audience is shocked for that moment.

Now take the same scene.. Two people are sitting at a table talking about a sport. The camera moves to show that there is a time bomb under the table and the bomb will go off in 5 minutes. Now the audience will get impatient at the characters for just sitting there, talking about a sport instead of doing something about the bomb.

So I guess that's the point I'm trying to make. Let's hope ki by 15th Feb, the show will give us some clarity on PurVir's feelings. If not, even then I'm happy to watch the show the makers are trying to make 😂😂

Manasi ❤❤

You are right of course. Vir and Purvi have many obstacles in their way and maybe makers are trying to take it one step at a time.

The only reason I have made this topic is because I feel that while the show is excelling at every other department, be it use of new was to shoot a scene as Nezu pointed about the hallucination scene or just how visually stunning certain scenes were like that Purvi drowning scene. The camera work is great, the direction is great, the writing is great. But the only thing that is a thorn in my side is this lack of scenes that build an emotional connection.

Now I'm also not a fan of OTT drama or plots moving in a slow pace and I feel like it's a wrong view that only drama sells in ITV and realism and logic should be thrown out of the window while watching an ITV show. What sells is emotions.

There is a reason why we want a particular female lead to experience indifference and hurt at the hands of the male lead. It's because we are emotionally connected to the male lead and have seen how selflessly he has loved her, while she ignored it completely.

And I just want ki the show just includes these emotional moments too. Monologues or just a scene where the characters are shown in deep thought, without any words will suffice. I was super disappointed when Vir's pensive scene after the shawl moment wasn't included in the final edit.

But yeah let's enjoy this journey the cvs are taking us on.
