I can give basic idea about abortion. Mostly do abortion in first trimester. Timeline is 1 week to 12th week. It's safe not life threatening at all. In ishani's case it's a second trimester if she was really 4 month pregnant. Nowadays people even go for abortion in second trimester(13 to 26 weeks). Mostly if they have some physical complication. People face many problem like infection & bleeding etc. But with the development of science most of the time it's not life threatening.
