I agree. His conversations with Vikram hinted just that. He would say things like "I was so scared", "my hands have never shivered while treating", and "she was hurt but I felt like I was dying". And then he would back them up with excuses of doctor-patient oath. Somewhere he knows what effect she has on him. Even in the Birju field scene, he self diagnosed himself before we saw that adamant Veer. On one hand he says "she is better now" and then the next moment he told Birju "she needs a doctor 24/7 right now" 😆
