|BARRISTER BABU|: THE SHOW WE SIGNED UP FOR

So, BARRISTER BABU is the show we all signed up for unique content, it's historical reviews, talented leads, amazing star cast and characterizations, aspiring story of pre independence era of 1920's and brave social messages.. We signed up to see how cruel society stood as an obstacle for Women empowerment before the Independence era. No doubt, this show is better as compared to many ITV shows but… when we look back and see our old episodes of Barrister Babu, the charm and goosebumps it gave on the first 40 episodes was missing immensely.. The 1920 flavor, the mentality of society, the turmoils of women especially widows, child brides etc., were shown beautifully… Hats off to the makers of Barrister Babu for bringing good tracks especially bed wetting, superstitions(Brijwasi), and now Menstruation track.. But, the show lost its charm and uniqueness now by showing too much of negativity.. Slowly, the show is depriving it of its actual essence…!! We understand it's a fictional show, so drama is needed. But, again this show is based and promoted as Leads vs Society not family villains.. This show is promoted and promised as how ANIRUDH ROY CHOUDHARY along with his wife BONDITA ROY CHOUDHARY stands firm and fights with all odds of society and change it's delusional mindset in those pre independence era… it's their journey fighting and struggling together against the ruthless society and its myths… !! But, we are serving now is totally disappointing.. We are loyal fans and we will support our show in all odds with guts expectations that it will get back on track and garnish all the fame and legacy it deserves.. It's an unique show, we need some really good tracks to bring back the show on track breaking all the stereotypes once again.. Please makers, if you're listening to us, then please give us back our old charm of the show excluding all type useless villains where the actual villain should be Society… !!!!

1.First of all, the Saudamini character itself isn't needed in this story as the character is framed poorly.. If remains grey and not completely negative would have turned really appreciable.. But, the past is past.. Nothing can be done now..

2. Bed wetting track was executed properly. Though draggy, it ended up with a good note and how Anirudh stood tall and determined for the little girl.. How he handles the girl and keeps up his words to take care of her in all odds..

3. Hira Mandi track was the one track which everyone appreciated for its unique delivery and bravery.. The way it's executed was really plausible with a little kid.. Kudos to makers for showing such a powerful track with dignity.. This track beautifully personified the dynamics of leads bond from just zimmedari to solemnly accepting the girl as his wife.. Their journey is truly commendable..

But, after this track the show slowly started losing its charm and essence.. The makers set the track right but executed it poorly which leads to disappointment and downfall..

4.Education track was the most anticipated and main theme of show among all viewers.. Girls education… The compulsory primary education Act.. was something we expected from the beginning.. How Anirudh will fight against domination of British in those era to make her wife educated.. How British will torture and dominate them with their ruthless policies… how they let girl child to step out of house freely to fetch their right to education.. The loses, turmoils, attacks, domination and struggles of leads to bring this Act in action… but the track ruined completely when they brought back Mini as Britisher wife with no back story.. It was Anirudh vs Mini not Society/Britishers vs Anirudh what we expected which have been logical and stupendous.. Here, the villain is from family side ( father's friend daughter) not actual society.. Here it lost the beauty of this track.. Instead show education makes us to stand tall even in difficult circumstances practically and mentally.

5.Saurabh death track, we viewers couldn't even feel it emotionally rather we only felt the loss of one beautiful and sane character of the show… the way they Fast forwarded the track was really… they could have utilized this track to show the Widow Remarriage Act beautifully… they should have strengthened Sampoorna's character to stand strong with the help of Anirudh and Bondita to fulfill his late husband's wish by practicing sangeet breaking stereotypes and marrying a young guy of her age who accepts her knowing her past.. This would have broken Kaka's myth on Widows as misfortune and black market etc.,... But again, they spoil this whole track completely by making Sampoorna completely negative..!! Therefore, giving the wrong message to society and accomplishing Kaka Sasurji's myth on Widows is correct.. She destroyed the family's happiness and married someone just for the sake of wealth and fame, forgetting Saurabh all of a sudden..

6. The most aspiring character of the show BINOY ROY CHOUDHARY is now butchered and ruined by making him puppet.. He is a grey character with lots of shades and we enjoyed it the most.. He turned white, okay no problem but turning puppet to someone like Sampoorna is out of his character… He has been portrayed as a smart, witty and clever man since the beginning … Now where has all his wittiest cleverness gone?? He fell prey to someone's useless and logicless revenge trap… The Sampoorna wanna take revenge on Kaka for ill treating her, then Surmani Maa is also on the top list.. Doesn't she deserve that but no she wanna take revenge from the lead family member.. Reason is baseless!!

7. Now, coming to the current track which was most awaited.. Kudos to makers for bringing such a brave and powerful track.. But, again the execution is going downfall by involving Sampoorna - Mami tactics overboard.. They're more cruel and evil than Mini.. They're inhumanoids, no doubt in that.. Again, it should have been society myths vs leads.. How in those eras would they use to treat girls as untouchable surmounting them with superstitions and beliefs.. The rituals and celebration of those eras.. And how Anirudh once again comes forward to save his wife from this cruelty.. How he handles her and looks after her in this situation… how he prepared himself to face the growing girl's tactics and changed dynamics before him as a guardian and guru.. But, no they're more into showing negativity than actual messages.. And not to forget, again here the villain is from the family ( lead's sister)..

The actors are doing wonderful jobs especially Kaka Sasurji, Anirudh, Bondita, Bihari, Koeli etc., Binoy if the character's old charm is back… Somnath and Batuk are just mute spectators now.. We didn't even get the Somnath Point view regarding Bondita whether he accepted her or not.. We haven't seen his character interacting with Bondita even once.. Now, Batuk joins the list too… !! Why don't makers give us some good family scenes and their bonding with each other.. The members are living as if they're living in a hostel just gathering for prayers and lunch/dinner...Rather than showing negative characters entering the Roy Choudhary family and positive characters becoming negative, why can't they show some cute and good family scenes.. Brothers banters, Somnath and Batuk bondings with Bondita and Binoy/Kaka banters with Bondita… how both Anirudh and Bondita steps forward to bring a change in revolution etc.,

Many say leap is a solution.. But I completely disagree here.. Taking a leap would be the drastic step.. This show won't remain the same.. In fact there are lot more to explore before leap

◾Bondita's education journey where Anirudh mentors and Guides her in studies.

◾Revelation of Sati truth before Bondita

◾Gradual changing dynamics of Anirudh-Bondita's pure bonding

◾Both standing as an obstacles for British domination

◾joining hands in India's struggle for Independence with social reformers

◾Kaka and Binoy supporting Bondita in their own way

◾Male chauvinistic society troubles where they step back to recognize Girl for their achievements.

◾Anirudh working hard to help feed poor, widows and orphans against British laws.

◾Family bondings and support.. Etc.,

◾Entering of some good positive characters who will support our leads in their missions.

So, we should support our show in all our odds and make CVs realize the main theme show and our expectations from such a great show….And not to forget, please maintain the stability and uniqueness of each character intact..!! **********************************

A special stand out to Aura and Pravisht for making this show special.. They're the symbol and essence of show… kudos to both of them..

As we are nearing the Anniversary of our show, we need our old charm and theme of BARRISTER BABU!! back…Please show us the real atrocities and revolution of 1920's, a pre independence era.!!!!!!!

They had a scope of portraying sampoorna's struggles as a widow, her empowerment and her remarriage with a young guy like saurabh and joining hands with rudhita for fighting against social norms. But no makers were hell bent on showing her vileness towards her own blood and this revenge is cringe worthy to watch. Firstly they have to realize what kinda audience watch this show.. From what I guess majority are youngsters. Youth won't enjoy saas bahu drama they started to watch this for its uniqueness and once trp audience lose their interest it's hard to get them back

Wow.. whatever I am felt/feeling, everything you have penned down. They have messed up with so many “supposed” to good tracks. And school tracks was one of it. We all were very excited to watch Bon’s school life, but no we didn’t get to watch a single day of school!! Saurabh’s death was unnecessary, we still thought we would see widowed shampoo as an example of an independent woman and also her remarriage! But they messed up that track too and imposed shampoo Binoy marriage instead which doesn’t have any logic I am still thinking what is the real reason for shampoo’s revenge? Because whatever she mentioned are one of the lamest reasons I have ever heard !! And lastly, they are messing up the most awaited menstruation track-with that they are butchering ani’s as well as Bon’s character. Binoy’s character is already got butchered and now he has been put n the same category as som or batuk .. the “supposed” menstruation track turning out in a vamp show of should I say a horror show too much negativity.. not acceptable!! It’s not a saas bahu show for god’s sake.. wake up makers! like you said we all signed up this show for it uniqueness and our leads’ awesome acting. I agree with each and every word said by you. If we love the show, it’s our right to criticize it !

Like you mentioned, there are still many tracks they could show with little aura. We hope they do that instead of thinking about the leap( I don’t want to see a typical love story which will be shown after leap). So NO leap please. Otherwise it will be an abrupt ending of a beautiful journey of an unique couple!

I'm fine with all mess they did but damn so disappointed with the makers for spoiling the most important tracki.e education track . I'm still very angry with them that they didn't gave us bon's first day school😭.. Was soo excited for her school journey 💔 and now they are on the verge of ruining the much awaited menstruation track

The above mentioned point has been my greatest disappointment of the show. I thought they killed Saurabh's character just so that they could show widow empowerment and maybe in the future widow remarriage track. But they totally wasted the opportunity just to add some masala Saas-Bahu drama which from the lowering TRPs is obvious that no one appreciates. Till date I cannot understand their reasoning behind Saurabh's death track and why they either kill positive characters or turn them negative.

Exactly. I made a post too expressing my disappointment over the handling of the Menstruation track. The promo was so powerful but the execution is not at all good. It's already the 3rd day of Bondita's periods and Anirudh is still not aware. Poor Bondita is being mentally tortured by her own sister, and her own husband instead of being there for her during this difficult time is misunderstanding her and hurting her unknowingly. I really can't understand the creatives obsession with villains and negativity. My disappointment is that I expected the track to be about Bondita and Anirudh, but instead it is turning into a Saas-Bahu aur tijori ki chabi track.

The amount of negativity, deriving from the actual plot of the whole show led to the downfall of such an amazing and thought- provoking show. They had everything to make this an unique and women - empowering show amongst all the regressive and negative, stretched-to-death shows, Ani - An young soul determined to make a change in the society. He wasn’t and isn’t perfect but still lovable, Bondita - A curious girl who likes to question every boundary that the society sets on a women, Kaka Sasur - A regressive, blind-faithed man and a bit grey but still, he cared for his family and that made him lovable. Binoy, the silent man of the family, sarcastic. He was against the whole women-empowerment thing but still, he had charm in him that made us still like and appreciate him. Where has all this gone? Why? What are the makers doing?

I am not a loyal fan. It has been months since I stopped watching Barrister Babu. See, this was the first Indian show where I followed every episode. I thought it was different and it was but only for a while. I honestly don’t even know if I want to go back to watching this. I feel cheated, honestly. What they promised and look what they are showing?

I might start watching this track again though because I like how in the promo, it focused on the pressure they put on men too to start a family.
