I like this comparison. Not exactly Beauty and Beast, but in a way, they can be thought to be.
Externally and especially towards Anokhi, Shaurya has been stringent and ruthless in a way, owing to his own prejudices. So, this external facade can be called beastly. And just like the beast, external apperaences always hides what's beneath - a genuine and good heart (same for both the cases). Beast was bound by a curse to become so and in Shaurya's case the curse is his own family (especially his Badepapa and Badimaa, who kept him away from her mother, fed poison to him throughout his life against his mother and even failed to provide an ounce of genuine love to him - or else he wouldn't be so void at core, if his Badimaa provided any ounce of genuine motherly love).
And Anokhi is a beauty, more so at her heart, so much so that growing up in a regressive household couldn't muddle the beauty that lies within her. She is full of courage and compassion. And hopefully, like in Beauty and Beast, she will free him from his curse.
@BOLD Could you draw some more parallels if you have any in your mind? I really like parallels like this, it really gives another dimension to this story from my point of view.
