Why can't we accept Sirat and Kartik lovestory? What's wrong?

So i have been reading posts that kartik cant be paired with a lookalike bcoz of his love for Naira. If he does that, his love for Naira was not pure. I mean like? Seriously? Does life stop for anyone? People die and new people make their own place. No one replaces anyone, everyone make their own place. So now the question is- Why Kartik can only fall for a look alike but not any other girl? Did he only loved Naira for her appearance and not for who she is? These two questions were also asked in the forum. Well, this is very true that heart matters more than looks. But, appearance is also important as it gives identity to a person. If u love someone for who she/he is, u will always think about her/him by their face. If Kartik is getting attracted to a lookalike than that is also because of his love for Naira. Bcoz her face reminds him of Naira, he was so deeply in love with her that he can fall for Sirat for her face alone. Bcoz when u love someone, u love in ad out of that person. Sirat is not Naira but Kartik will give her a chance bcoz she looks like Naira but he will not give chance to Rhea or Vedika. So that also indicates his love for Naira. This is just my opinion. U are allowed to not agree.

Why can't we accept Sirat and Kartik lovestory? What's wrong? - Because the way they're presenting it is hella creepy on multiple levels.

People die and new people make their own place. No one replaces anyone, everyone make their own place. - Yes, but Naira has only been dead for a few months. It's the time frame that's off, not moving on.

If u love someone for who she/he is, u will always think about her/him by their face - When you really love someone, you recall their personality & how they made you feel. Physical appearance is a very low priority. But may be that's just me.

If Kartik is getting attracted to a lookalike than that is also because of his love for Naira - AFAIR Kartik didn't immediately start crushing on Naira's physical appearance. It was a slow attraction based off personality.

Bcoz her face reminds him of Naira, he was so deeply in love with her that he can fall for Sirat for her face alone- That's extremely creepy & unfair to Sirat. Everyone deserves someone who starts loving them for them. Not because your body serves as a replacement to their dead wife's.

well unlike real life-- this concept is foreign

if devdas forgot paro and moved on with chandramuki would the story really be the same?

or be deemed such a great tragedy?

In terms of falling in love with a new person it taints the great love story from before why you may ask?

Because naira is the daughter of akshara. Akshara is the base line reason why people enjoyed this show for years. And slowly developed a love for naira. Now killing naira off and running the story of another character just wont sit well with the audience.

In real life. Your life doesnt stop you move on. Your kids move on you never forget the pain of loosing your loved one but you move on.

Thats what i think the audience feels

But personally i kind of am enjoying the show has a new story

as a kaira fan i feel there was nothing else they could show us with that love story a brand new love story is exciting ...

but lets see which emotion the audience favors

Problem is their dependence on shivangi and mohsin on a crazy level . I would prefer it if it was another girl instead of shivangi. That would have been a fresh love story ..

The question is , will the audience be ready to watch the SAME story with SAME kartik and his SAME family but a girl with different name? If rs manages to show us a different story with kartik and sirat I will take my words back..but from the look of it everyone refuse to grow up and show change . With sirat all the naira situations will be rinsed and repeat ,probably the separation and divorce too . What's the fun in watching the same thing over , just that it's not naira but sirat but the same actress ..so chemistry is already explored..phir se dekhne mein kisko interest aayega?

For example. Kartik dreams of sirat the way he used to imagine naira , them dancing together intimately . We have seen mohsin shivangi as kartik naira. What fun is it to watch it with kartik sirat ? One might rewind and watch the old epis.

So yes I will give them a chance , but it all depends on the treatment ..whether or not kartik sirat will be accepted. Jaise wo lady was saying "dola maru wali Prem kahani hogi inki", I can only lol. Same thing.

Life doesn’t stop if the people you love pass away but you don’t ever replace them and move on with others, especially if you claimed to love someone as deeply as Kartik loves Naira.

They have made claims to each other of never loving another person for janams to come & funnily this was the last thing Kartik said to Naira’s soul as well “I can never love another person.”

So when you say such things on one hand and then on the other hand you are attracted to someone else, it just makes everything you said sound like a lie.

When Kartik proposed to Naira for the first time, he told her you are it for me regardless of your answer. This is the premise of their 12 years story, Kartik’s unconditional love for Naira.
So no, we cannot accept Kartik falling in love with someone else, treating her or loving her the same way he loved Naira, because then not only will be appear fake, Kaira’s lovestory would lose its essence and everything it stood for.
Why would I wanna watch and support my favourite couple’s lovestory being reduced to nothing for a character that was introduced two days ago and if not for Shivangi, would have been another Vedika.

Falling for a much younger look alike is even worse because he never loved Naira for her looks. Also, the look alike deserves better than a guy who will only love her because she looks like his dead wife.

As Anya said, all the epic love stories won’t be epic or their love won’t be celebrated to date if they had moved on with other people.

There should be dislike button also.. I really miss it at many places 🙄

You are just thinking as a fan. But, people have to change and adapt the changes in their life and also move ahead. Death is a harsh reality of life. Imagine, if in this world all people behave like how you said after their love ones died, than the world will end. It is not selfish nor it is wrong to give another chance to life or love.

I am thinking as a fan because this is a show meant for entertainment!

ITV shows are not an accurate representation of real life, so why should I expect a realistic portrayal in this instance as well?

Is finding your partner’s exact doppelgänger literally a few months after their death also a reality of life?

If we want to talk about reality than it should be on all the fronts, not just aspects which seem befitting to us.

I agree. Life goes on. You don’t stop loving the people you have lost. But you can’t live with the dead.
Unfortunately, that’s the problem with tv dramas. We get so attached to the characters that we start living with them in a dream world. Here Naira’ fans are not Shivangi fans. They would rather have Naira coming back from the dead than accepting a look like Sirat.

I had written a FF with the same storyline for Zindagi ki Mahek. I did not get much response on that forum as people kept asking me to somehow prove my new lead Aditi was Mahek magically surviving a fatal accident. I had to explain again and again that it’s not going to happen. Finally I got so fed up that I finished the story much earlier than I would have liked.
Its the truth that people move on in real life, but expect the their onscreen idols to keep suffering for the sake of love and glory.

Having said that, I agree the treatment here in yrkkh leaves much to desire. Sirat has failed to garner any sympathy and Kartik comes across like a blundering idiot. They will eventually fall in love, we all know that. But the makers have rushed their story. I hope they get their act together before it’s beyond redemption.
