Hi Everyone... Since this is my first post here, will start it with a personal message. I hope and pray that everyone is safe and sound in this difficult phase in our lives and in the world. Hope everyone is practicing social distancing and the necessary measures to stay safe. Also glad there’s some ways for people to interact, be it forums, social media or any outlet.
Coming to my post, I guess the topic is kind of confusing, but giving an apt title was never my strong suit. I am just one of those people who finds the posts here more entertaining than the actual show itself, so I just keep myself to just reading. So what changed today? The one thing that annoyed me the most today was pakhi holding Sai’s hand to stop her. Even though the scene was a small one, I found it so offensive. Not just because of the person to whom it was done or who did it. The scene made me realize how much hypocrisy runs not just in the characters in the show, but also in the makers of the show. I guess anyone who is reading this is still confused as to what’s my point. Please let me explain. Imagine if the roles were reversed. Imagine it was Sai who held pakhi’s hand while she was walking away. How would the whole family react? How would virat react? How would the makers have taken the scene forward?
If Sai had done this, by now pakhi didi would have made a huge scene out of it, with blackmails to leaving the house. I’m sure there would have been ultimatums from the whole gang that either virat throw Sai out or she fall in pakhi’s feet and apologize.
I wonder how virat would react, I’m sure I would have heard him screaming “Saiiii” in high decibel volume so that the whole Nagpur hears it. Maybe the Jeep ride would have turned out to be completely different than how it happened, but I guess I wouldn’t be surprised given how he reacted during the alta debacle. As far as the ML, never seen his work before, haven’t even heard of him, so maybe I’m wrong, but I feel the ML needs to work on his expressions. Most of the time I find it a guessing game as to if he is surprised, shocked or confused. The only expression that’s is very clear to me is when he is angry or in a fun zone. Didn’t mean to offend anyone who might be the actor’s fan. Sorry if I did.
Mostly I’m irritated with the makers for the scene. If it was pakhi being manhandled by Sai, there would have been a screaming match that would have lasted more than a cricket test match. The episode would have stretched with high voltage drama till the end of the week. Yet when it’s Sai being manhandled, the makers can’t even spark a reaction from their characters, even the so-called IPS officer. Now I wasn’t expecting virat or anybody to fight on Sai’s behalf, I’m sure she is more than capable of fighting her own battles, but just an acknowledgment that it was wrong. Is that the best they can get out of their creative team and the actors?
I know I’m barking up the wrong tree, but just wanted to acknowledge it... Sorry for the long rant. I’m done now. Thank you....
