Now imagine, instead of Abhinav, a married woman sitting next to her husband and laughing when a man says that he likes her thick thighs or some equivalent. Do I even need to imply the name calling that the girl will face even if her husband is laughing alongside? Where are 'n' number of outrage posts against Abhinav's behaviour? Just because he is a guy?

I have always maintained that Rakhi's behaviour is wrong and she should be pulled up for that. That action is 100% wrong and only she is responsible for what she did.

I don't believe that Abhinav would be 'harassed' from the same action had Rakhi been batting from Rubina and his side.

For me - such statements shouldn’t be made by any of the contestants - because this is BB - and as BB’s history has proven, one person’s treasure is another’s trash and vice versa. People commenting on Rubina’s reaction and what she’s saying to and about Rakhi/the audience is hardly people victim blaming Abhinav. I haven’t read what you’ve said above - I can only speak for myself, and I don’t believe in victim-blaming. I’ve said - multiple times - that Rakhi needs to be told off and told to back off.

I don’t see why people pointing out the kappal’s hypocrisy alongside saying Rakhi is wrong 100%, is an issue or victim-blaming. The same Abhinav and Rubina that vilified Eijaz for a hi5 an arm’s length away, were repeatedly dashing into Rahul’s personal space (and Ally’s too for Abhinav), and even pushed him - multiple times.

Them being pathologically lying hypocrites, out to pull others down, and Rakhi being wrong in what she did, are not mutually exclusive IMO.

I see your point about trash and treasure and I will agree to that. If everyone behaves perfectly, then there won’t be a BB.

Swami Om throwing his pee should be IMO the same as anyone touching your personal space. We get taught this in sex Ed in junior high that those places are not safe zones to touch. Rakhi’s intent for doing that is sinister. It’s sexually charged. The fact that it can be even remotely classified as entertainment, is well sad.

It is the responsibility of the creative team and Salman himself who’s such a big star, so many young minds look up to him, to bring attention to this and educate people not normalize this behaviour.... justifying her actions as he did. This is the very definition of victim blaming. Is it not?

The durbhagya thing was said (assumably based on promo) for excusing Rakhi Sawant’s inappropriate touch as entertainment.

The narrative here is Rakhi is an entertainer and Rubina you over reacted to her pulling Abhinav’s short’s drawstrings. And then to say, but Abhinav has had the most advantage of said entertainment. The word entertainment should be replaced with possible sexual harassment.

Regarding the hi5 issue we’ll be at an impasse cause’ my stance on consent is very clear the minute someone says do not touch me the response should never be It’s not a big deal (as Ejaz said) it should be to back off and apologise if need be. Ejaz has all the right to say a hi5 isn’t a big deal (and whilst I believe this to be true) my issue was with his response of Its not a big deal.

If no one here is defending Rakhi then where is the bashing for Rakhi for her act, bashing for channel and bashing the host. Why selective bashing only for Rubina and Abhinav?

I still fail to understand what did Rubina and Abhinav did so wrong on the show to get bashed.

Where is the post of channel bashing for allowing to air her filthy act?

Where is the post of Salman bashing?

All I see is blind hatred for Rubina and Abhinav just because they played along and did not stop Rakhi before.

We’re going by the promo - But apparently Salman has also told Rakhi off, and I hope it’s true - she needs to know where to draw the line. And I agree that it shouldn’t be normalized.

What he’s saying re Abhinav benefitting from Rakhi’s attention thus far - as far as his relevance in the game is concerned, I agree - it’s true. Does that make what Rakhi did ok? Of course not.

Do I agree that Rubina has all the right in the world to confront Rakhi about this? Absolutely. But it is also my view that she over dramatizes such situations and starts giving bhashans bringing in all and sundry - whether it’s past events, the country whatever. I call it her bahu mode. Get pissed, fight, whatever - but the bhashans and character certificates she issues are unnecessary in my view.

As I’ve said above - I don’t think any of this is mutually exclusive. As for the hi5 - I have no intention of debating the right and wrong of it - it’s done. It was simply one example of the couple’s many instances of utter hypocrisy. Eijaz said the hi5 wasn’t a big deal. Rubina told Rahul ke his personal space got invaded because he couldn’t protect it. Each to their own re what’s problematic here - I agree we’ll be at an impasse.

First - Watch the whole epi and then post a POV on what the convo/bashing was about :). Not on a promo clip.

Second don’t forget the reality of kappal active involvement in all the acts they engaged in.

Both are true. Rakhi crossing the line and Abhinav ka naada kheechna.

Any logical viewer will see that rubinav not only benefited the most. They actively encouraged this till they said stop .... still doesn’t make Rakhi right but adarsh are not like tube light gyaan. All of a sudden they realized what an adarsh married man is about. Didn’t he even try a track with jasmean saying he has better wavelength with her than ruby ? ... didn’t ruby and Abhinav discuss (and shown to us) that ruby will now start a love lapaata track ? And yet actively encouraged it.

So 2 seperate issues.

Did rakhi cross lines - yes

Did kappal benefit and encourage it till they decided to be against it and now even going to a height of dragging a country in - yes along with a host of other hypocrisies
