Why should he live separately he is the perfect beta of the house, who keeps his brains in the police station.

But let the girl go why torment her, they don’t her in the house, she doesn’t want to live in the mad house ( who would actually), he should actually let her go and live her life. He can live with the pyaari family and uske dil ke achche log

They had put in initial efforts to attract audience attention by portraying Virat different from other version MLs. After this show gained the popularity, they started to follow suit the original versions.

That is why his characterization is so unstable.
