Yeah I thought Aakesh's "obsession" was a bit bland and bordering on stalking. There was nothing to justify it as "love". It's only bc of Veer that I care even a little bit about that soul connection, otherwise I can understand why Naageshwari was put off by him.

Yehi toh rona hai. They told people from the off what the show was supposed to be about...it was a forbidden love story, a chance for them all to be reborn and actually LIVE their true love story. But woh wale fans can't accept anything except the same old drink in a new bottle, hence naagmani, revenge vibes, blah blah blah. Thanks guys.

yeah, I found SC dull in early ep or two...esp in her interactions with anyone other than Veer...he was clearly the one who brought out the best in her 😳 I guess lockdown played a part for all actors needing to get back into things.

Agree here with Arshi... Whenever I rewind initial episodes where there was only one show stopper with his power packed performance MR.Malhotra!! Wow man, never dull moments when he was on screen...

The mehendi episode where he goes all kaminaa ..I literally hated him...why he is doing all this... Such was his impact...

I felt Surbhi matched to some extent and started to come in form from the marriage episodes..

Otherwise , it was out and out Mr. Malhotra's Show ....

The only ones who i skimmed through the episodes were anita and sj and even dd kinda somehow worked..(likhne ke baad realised ki unn 3eps main yeh 3 aur hina hi the😂)

So basically, hina was bland..just all blah even in those angry hazaar maut scenes..nah..

But then she's always bland. She never could attract me as a viewer!!

You said it, @alichase's ff has a better bg..hell her whole story has better everything than n5😆

The promo said it dude.. forbidden love story..idk lovestory main naagmani ka kya krte ..acchaar dalte maybe!!😆

Just adding to the discussion. I also never really got the hype about Hina. I watched clips of the satyug era on instagram to the gist and she was just.. okay. Somewhat artificial if you ask me. I felt like a lot of the focus in her character was about just looking great, which to be fair, she did. But otherwise, nop. Not really a topic starter. Sure, Hina and DD has a decent chemistry too. But the most impressive of the lot had to be DD. He actually blew me away with his performance especially since it was a polar opposite character to Karan Luthra. (Imo the looks served him well too).

One of the big mistakes about N5 was also promoting the Satyug trio with no insight into the face changes that were going to happen eventually.

Anita is a brilliant actor. Surbhi Jyoti and her definitely took the cake in the N4 finale which I watched in bits. Hina tbh, felt dull in comparison although she was touted as the thing.

I was like ek hi episode mein where was this obsession and 10000 varsh ka tadap.. 😕

But Shard has compensated for that... Still I feel sad for writers who are destroying their own creation... Pity for them...

Agree word to word..sj anita and dd made watching those eps worthwhile!!!

@bold - she did look lovely. The only time I LOLed was when she said, so innocently "Maine abhi dekhna nahi ke main kaisi dikhti hoon" 😆 thought that was cute.

And WORD on the crappy promotions. They pissed off Hina fans who thought she would be around for the whole season, and they didn't promote the actual leads enough so that their fans could be there from the start. It is testament to SC and SM the way they have singlehandedly raised the show's profile through Vani. Otherwise without them, the season would have had nowhere near this kind of hype.

I wish they'd kept the same trio for the Satyug thing too, would have made more sense for the story and would not have invited comparisons. But ofc it was a TRP trick...that ultimately backfired 😡
