I still feel Kinjal has joined the same company as Vanraj but at an entry or junior level position.

Vanraj is working in same organization for 25 years so his position clearly must be requiring work experience.

Pretty ridiculous if a fresher gets the position of Vanraj.

@bold If this actually happens, they might show Kinjal to be really exceptional to replace a experienced professional !!

As a person with a full time job in corporate world, I can say that there is nothing unrealistic about it and there are high chances Kinjal can replace Vanraj,

1. Youngsters ask for lesser pay than experienced people.

2. A company which has been revamped and is transitioning to new management, its easy for a person to start from scratch and learn.

3. Kinjal and Paritosh have both been shown to be studying from reputed institutes whose brand name often suffices. IIT and IIM graduates with no experience often get high positions easily as their first jobs.

4. Vanraj has not been paying attention to work due to his personal life. If we remember, the last time he got promoted and got a raise, he was working neck deep into his job because Anupamaa had kept him free from all worries at home. After that, he has taken so many leaves, Hasmukh's heart attack, Paritosh's marriage, his own accident and not concentrating at work. Companies do not care for personal lives of employees if it keeps interfering with their work again and again.

People like Vanraj, usually after these many years of experience, don't wait to get fired. They save up and start a venture of their own, solo or in partnership with someone, but he didn't. As Leela said, this job was his "identity".

It may be sad that the company didn't acknowledge the years of hard wok Vanraj put into his job and fired him just because he was no longer relevant to the job, but then Vanraj too decided to have an EMA just because Anupamaa was no longer attractive to him, even after years of hard work she put into the relationship. So tit for tat!!
