Chapter 23

"What do you mean?"

asks Ridhima

"In this world, everyone is selling something or other from their side, Ridhima. Emotions, body parts, or it can be anything. Today whatever happened is not because you lust him. It's your love for him"

says King with utmost sincerity in his voice

"You could have to do something to stop the moment right? Considering you're watching everything?"

asks Ridhima in anger

King chuckles,

"Well, I loved the hot scene which happened on the deck. However, it is not sex, Ridhima. It's pure love. I can sense your emotions. You were fighting for not giving in, yet you gave. It's not wrong. Sometimes, emotions led us to do the things which we don't want to. Over and above, how you act with your emotions everyone knows. So yes don't blame yourself. Whatever happened, let it be. Don't name it as a mistake or anything. Just accept that you don't have command on your emotions and it's your love who led you"

says the caretaker while Ridhima is lost in the sound of the waves standing in the balcony.

"However, I proved Vansh today that he has power on me. I had behaved as whore who gave in to her emotions, not a woman who can fight back"

says Ridhima while holding the rail of the balcony.

says Debt Collector making Ridhima turn towards the camera while the King continues,

says the King while Ridhima immediately asks,

"I need help".

"Help?"

King asks

"Yes, and please don't say No"

begs Ridhima

"You don't need to plead me Riddhu. Ask me, I will do it for you"

replies Alchemist.

"Teach me?"

asks Ridhima

"Teach what?"

questions King

"I know you have appointed your whole team for me. However, I can see where I'm lacking. I have a long way to go. I thought I will play with my heart and not with the mind, but I can see where I'm standing today. Please me by torchbearer, caretaker. I need you and only you"

plead Ridhima

"You want to become like me, or I say like me and Vansh?"

asks King

"I want to be the person who can control their emotions, not being an impulsive person, reading between the lines. Everything and anything where I don't want to listen, people saying, I'm am emotional fool again"

says Ridhima with determination in her voice.

"You have so many things in the hand, Ridhima. You see Ridhu, whatever we are today is not because of one single incident. The course of incidents happened in our lives, made us what we are today. Whatever you have asked me to teach is not something written in the textbook so I can guide you. It's life, from which you should learn"

says the Judge while continuing,

"However, you have endured everything Ridhima. Yet, you are still saying you haven't learnt anything then where the mistake is happening?"

"I'm trying but..."

says Ridhima

"You know what Ridhima, Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions,"

while King snarls.

"Caretaker"

Ridhima gasps

"Yes, Ridhima. You are a slave to your emotions. When someone says anything, you don't try to read the whole picture. You see what is given to you as evidence. You see Ridhima in the court of law, the judge accepts the evidence which is given to him. However, the defence lawyer has a chance to fight to say those pieces of evidence are fabricated. Did you ever try to read what is the other half of the story? How come the truth you hear is truth while the rest are lies? Because of your emotions. People simply don't call you an emotional fool. They call you because they ride on your emotions. They know your weakest nerve and vulnerable moment and hit you at that time. Think before even you utter a single word. You don't observe, you make decisions on what presented to you. Life has taught enough lessons to you and yet you do the same because of the impulsiveness. Over and above, you never tried to trust the relation you share with the people around you"

says the King with anger evident in his voice.

"I never had a home to learn such things. Everybody has a home team: It’s the people you call when you get a flat tire or when something terrible happens. It’s the people who, near or far, know everything that’s wrong with you and love you anyway. These are the ones who tell you their secrets, who get themselves a glass of water without asking when they’re at your house. These are the people who cry when you cry. These are your people, your middle-of-the-night, no-matter-what people"

shouts Ridhima while King says,

"Shut up."

Ridhima can sense the anger in King's voice and this kind of anger she never witnessed before.

"Just shut up, Ridhima,"

says King controlling his anger

"Don't give me such reasons saying home and all?"

says the Controller.

"To move on, you must understand why you felt what you did and why you no longer need to feel it,"

says the Lord while continuing,

"However, in your case, you never, not even once, rechecked where you went wrong?"

"Since the day you came here, did you ever thought what mistakes you have done when you are with Vansh or where everything went wrong? No, right? I agree I want you to be part of the team, but to become a better person one needs to know what mistakes they did so that they don't repeat the same even when they are at the doors of the death. But in your case, you repeat them"

says the Lord while breaking the glasses and Ridhima can hear the sounds of breaking things.

"You can't say I'm not changed. I'm changed. Are you hearing what I'm saying? I'm changed"

shouts Ridhima

"When a human being is prey to their emotions, they are not their own master,"

says King continuing,

"You feel you have changed but you didn't. You have become physically strong enough to endure the pain, yes, you're started to kill the people who are bad according to you. Good that you have understood the basics of the Mafia, however, it didn't take a minute to Benjamin to read you and fool you. Because he has seen the core of you - you being prey to your emotions. You are expressive, good, but not secretive. You're an open book Ridhima, anyone can read anytime and in this dark world, there is no place for open books"

says King while taking a deep breath. Taking a moment and seeing Ridhima sad on the screen, King sighs,

"Ridhima, pain is like water. It finds a way to push through any seal. There's no way to stop it. Sometimes you have to let yourself sink inside of it before you can learn how to swim to the surface. Trust your pain, it has taught you so much already"

says with a calm and soothing voice

"Please, teach me"

pleads Ridhima again

"Trust is not a gasoline-soaked blanket that succumbs to the matches of betrayal, never able to be used for its warmth again; it’s a tapestry that wears thin in places, but can be patched over if you have the right materials, circumstances, and patience to repair it. If you don’t, you’re always the one who feels the coldest when winter comes"

says King while fixing his eyes on her face to read her emotions

"I trust you, caretaker,"

says Ridhima meekly

King chuckles,

"Trust yourself first, Riddhu. Trust yourself. If you want me to teach the things which Life had taught you already and yet you didn't learn anything, then let me warn you, my road is not easy. If you don't trust yourself, you will never understand my way of playing?"

says King with an authoritative tone.

"I will give my best this time, caretaker,"

says King

"Rian,"

says King

"Rian?"

repeats Ridhima

"My name is Rian. You are the first one to know my name, Ridhima. Now let me see how much trust you can put on me as I revealed my name to you"

says King while Ridhima says,

"I trust you"

"I have told you several times and saying you again, trust yourself Ridhima. Trust yourself"

Rian replies

"Shouldn't I trust you? Don't you need my trust?"

asks Ridhima

Rian laughs,

"Ridhima, the day you know the real me, you will hate me. You will try to leave me. I'm sure that day no matter what you have learnt from me or life, you will leave me without turning back. So, I don't need that trust from you"

says Rian

"Why do you feel I would leave you? Did you did something bad with me and I don't about it?"

asks Ridhima

"See, your detective side is back with just certain words of mine. What about the trust you said? Is it necessary to analyze what all I say?"

asks Rian

"I just..."

says Ridhima

"You just, what, Ridhima? Don't put too much pressure on your mind. Just believe yourself. And one more thing, Ridhima, you feel just because you trust me, I should trust you back and think I should reveal everything. Well, I won't do that. I won't reveal anything which I feel it doesn't concern you or even it concerns I won't. So I'm warning you, don't go on spying things just because you have this attitude of doubting everyone. Trust yourself, I'm saying again"

says Rian.

"If it concerns me, why can't you tell me?"

asks Ridhima with a tiny bit of suspicion in her voice

"Well now leave it as I don't like it. If you want me to teach you, remember, never cross-question me. If you break this rule, then yes, it would be the last day, I would be teaching you. We will be back to King and King's member. We won't be as a teacher and student"

says Rian

"But..."

says Ridhima

"Ridhima...."

says Rian

"Okay"

replies Ridhima dejectedly

"Good, your first lesson starts tomorrow, until then, Good Night, Riddhu,"

says Rian while watching her moves on the screen.

Vansh is unable to sleep. His thoughts are still revolving around how close they were. How he has his hands over breasts and how he kissed her. "Why the hell he did that? How come he can propose her to be the sex friend? Why he did it? I know Ridhima has still feelings for me but this is not something Vansh Rai Singhania does with anyone. What are you doing with me, Ridhima?" Vansh thinks while trying to control his anger level.

"Whatever happened is big a mistake and it shouldn't happen again. I should make sure to tell the same with Ridhima even before she comes with some way to get back to come"

says Vansh to himself while heading for the bed.

The Next Morning: -

Ridhima woke up with much enthusiastic mode as she is thinking about what kind of teachings Rian would give her. However, she unable to brush the thoughts where he asked her not to cross-question him for anything. Is it possible from her side? Ridhima gets ready and stands before one of the cameras and calls the King,

"Rian, Rian, are you there?"

"What it is Ridhima? Why are you waking me up at 5 AM?"

asks Rian who is smiling seeing how Ridhima is excited for him to teach her.

"Well you said my classes will start from today, so here I'm"

replies Ridhima

"You didn't change a thing since then, always excited for me to teach you"

he mutters which Ridhima hears a little,

'What changes? I didn't hear you properly? Do you need me to change into something else?"

asks Ridhima

Rian sighs,

"Riddhu, my classes wouldn't be how Sher and others teach you. I'm the Life right now. So be prepared. You don't what Life plans for you right? In the same way, what I'm planning for you would be also a secret. Now, go and do your regular work"

says Rian while disconnecting her call.

"Hello, Hello...."

says Ridhima. However, as she didn't hear any reply from them, she lost in her thoughts, "Teach me like how Life does, what he is doing to do now?" Ridhima thinks and gets into the ring to train herself.

Sorry for the delay pals. However, due to office work unable to update regularly these days. Give me this week time, will try to give more regular updates from next week. Also, please expect the same delay from Broken FF too for this week. Going forward will make sure to give updates regularly.
