*DOTW #10 Models Turn Actors In Pakistani Drama Industry*

Hello everybody.😊

In drama industry we have many actors who started their careers as models. Many of them made a mark in the industry like: Adnan Siddiqui, Mikaal Zulfiqar , Ayeza Khan, Mehwish Hayat and many others.

There are also plenty of models who couldn't make it big like: Shehzad Noor, Umer Shehzad , Sadaf Kanwal , Asad Zaman ..

Between modelling and acting there is a big difference , because the first one is about glamour and show.. the other is about emoting and expressions. So what do you think? Is it fine to cast models as actors just because of their looks, and stardom in modelling career?

No problem as long as they can act and have the charm to grace the tv screen

What i dont like is when singers or directors come zabardasti in dramas just to get fame even when they dont have that charm 😳 such as yasir nawaz, sarmad khoosat, yasir hussain and now hadiqa qiani

Of course , if they can act so there's no problem, but getting lead roles just because of their looks isn't justified. 😊

Yassir Nawaz and Sarmad although can act, but casting them as leads isn't a wise move, coz there's an image of lead characters which they don't fit well in.🤔

Talking about singers , I can think of some charming but not in dramas, like : Gohar Mumtaz .😃 Hadiqa starred as a mother of a grown up girl.. which suits her age.. and if actors start singing, so why can't singers try their luck in acting!😆

I always avoided the dramas he's in. I really never liked him 🤣

I think it's fine because a lot of dramas run on if the cast is "pretty/handsome/hot" sometimes. There are some models that I wonder if they were bad or just didn't want to work; like Shahzad Noor. Never watched his shows but he seems to be popular.

If actors can become singers than why not same opportunity to singers. If singers can act well than they should get chance. Like Ali Zafar acts well.

Yasir nawaz started his career as an actor. He was an established actor. And still he does fine job.

I have no problem with it. If that person can act than he/she should get a chance. Some models are good actors as well so its fine if they get to work in dramas or movies but if these models are not good actors but still getting work on basis of their appearances than that's unfair. Models like neha rajput or areeba are not impressive actors still getting dramas.

just like not all actors suit singing, same way not all singers suit acting.
