So this is an OS set in future. In this Sai is in her intern year (house surgeon) after finishing her final mbbs exams. Virat and Sai live in Nagpur but in a separate flat because Virat was posted in a nearby district but they have found some place in between which is convenient for Sai as well as Virat to commute to work daily.
Pp-samrat have moved on together and live elsewhere. Pp had accompanied Samrat where he was posted and Sairat have confessed their love. Also this was originally written by me for Avni-Neil jodi of naamkarann. But i have changed it to Sairat.

Virat's birthday was something Sai had been waiting for. She had a bunch of plans to make sure she could make the day special for her husband. And she was very excited that the day was finally coming tomm. And it was a weekend and Virat was going to be at home and she also had a day off. She had originally wanted to have a party at the CM with their family but unfortunately they all had a wedding to attend. So it was going to be just the two of them.
She crept out of bed with great difficulty at 4am! She wriggled out of Virats hold on her, covered him with the comforter and slowly crept out of their room taking care to shut it behind her. This was the first time Sai had "willingly" woken up this early. She was not a morning person at all but her career in medicine and Virats odd timings as a police officer had forced her to be flexible! and Now she could wake up at any hour if she had to! And today she was so excited that she hadn't even slept well. She had woken up every hour literally to check the time! She couldn't risk the alarm going off and spoiling Virat's surprise by waking him up. Finally it was time .
She headed to the kitchen.and got to work- baking the chocolate cake which she had finally perfected to Virat's taste after 2 whole weeks of prep. She had found time after work and had made Ashwini supervise her on video call for several attempts until she was satisfied it was done perfectly. She didn't want to take any chances for her husband's cake. She made the cake mixture with great love and care and added extra chocolate chips just like he liked it. Once she had put it in the oven, she prepared an icing mixture. Next she prepared a fresh coffee decoction. Once the cake was done she did the icing and set it aside. And it was already 530. She got to work on breakfast making thalipeeth and sabudana khichdi both of which Virat loved. And last but not the least she made him a cup of perfectly brewed coffee with a little smiley face in it. She got a large tray placed the cake and breakfast items on it and headed to the bedroom. She left the breakfast items in the kitchen and quietly went back into their room. She crept back into bed to find him still sound asleep. She debated letting him sleep in but then decided that she was too excited. So she placed a small peck on his forehead and caressed his hair softly. Virat sensed her presence and smiled still in sleep. Sai bent and whispered in his ear...happy birthday ACP saab! And gave him another kiss on his cheek. Virat pulled her closer and tightened his hold on her. Sai- aap uthiye na please. Virat- nahi. Aaj Mera bday Hai. Toh Meri marzi. Vaise bhi it's super early. Why are u even awake at this hour.Sai - please, Uthiye na. Maine ek surprise plan kiya Hai. It's ur bday na! Virat sat up in bed still holding her, his eyes now open on hearing her say surprise
Sai- chodiye , tabhi toh leke aasakti hoon
Virat - releasing her with a pout- jaldi aao.
She literally sprung off the bed and skipped out of the room. virat just grinned as he watched her leave. Clearly she was far more excited than him about his bday! And when she came back 2 mins later, a waft of mouthwatering aroma flooded his nose. To say he was shocked would be an understatement. She stood there with a tray that had his fav stuff and a cake.She placed it on the bed and said. Aaj aapka bday Hai toh breakfast in bed. Chaliye pahle cake kaatiye. Virat looked down to see his fav chocolate cake. It looked really good but the icing which read happy bday Virat was a little smudged and then he realised that this was not from the store but had been made by his wife! Sai followed his line of sight and sheepishly said...sorry voh itna professional nahi Hai but I'm sure taste thik hoga. Virat- perfect lag raha Hai! Tumne mere liye cake khud bake kiya! I can't believe it. Sai- accha Chaliye cake kaatiye to sahi. She put a small candle and lit it . Make a wish.
Virat- (I hope Sai always stays happy) and blew the candle. He cut a piece and Sai picked it up and held it up for him to taste.Virat- took a bite and he was shocked. It was SO good! The chocolate just melting into his mouth and it was still warm, fresh from the oven! Sai- anxiously- kaise bana Hai?Virat - it's amazing wifey ! Yeh toh bakery se bhi better Hai! And gave her a bite of the cake too. Sai - thank God thik se ban Gaya. Accha coffee, thalipeeth aur sabudana khichdi bhi try Kariye. Virat dug into the breakfast and found that everything was perfectly made as per his specifications.He held Sais hand and kissed it. It's all perfect wifey just like you.Sai looked like she just won the lottery! Virat fed her breakfast too and once they were done she cleared up the plates and headed to put them in the kitchen. Meanwhile Virats phone rang. Virat's Aai was calling. Aai- happy birthday godu! Virat thank you Aai.
aai- toh breakfast aur cake kaisa bana?
Virat aapko pata Tha?
Aai- Haan tumhari pagal biwi ne do hafton se pata nahi mujhe kitni baar phone kiya hai to supervise her cooking. Infact ek do baar college ke baad, all the way ghar aayi thi just to make me taste the cooking and check ki sab kuch tumhaari taste ke hisaab se bana hai. Sai ne kaha tha ki tumhaare bday pe sab perfect hona chahiye !
Virat - was overwhelmed hearing this- his wifey was truly amazing. She had gone to such lengths to make sure everything was as per his taste. He could see with her every action, how much she loved him. She was not always good with words, she was not very expressive - she would often be fighting with him but Virat had realised that with Sai her actions spoke louder than words. And he had also learnt to see that behind all her nok-jhok and the fights she picked was lots of care and affection.

Aai- godu, tum aur Sai humesha khush raho. And happy birthday once again. Tum apni baiko ke saath enjoy Karo. Thik hai
Virat hung up with a smile on his face.And that smile only grew bigger when Sai walked back in. He pulled her onto him and gave her a kiss.Thank you wifey. Mujhe bahut accha laga tumhaara surprise. Sai- I'm glad. But abhi aur bhi Hai. Chaliye ready ho jaiye. I'll keep out clothes for you to wear

Sai laid out new clothes and shoes that she had bought. And also a brand new watch
When Virat got out of the shower he was surprised to see all the goodies! He saw a note and smiled- Happy Birthday ACP saab! I hope you like the gifts!
He wore the stuff she had laid out and looked at the mirror and was happy with the result! Sai walked in after getting ready in the guest room to save time and she looked at Virat and felt lucky that the handsome specimen was all hers. She walked up to him and straightened his tshirt collar and said- vaise, aaj aap itne bure bhi nahi lag rahe!
Virat- seedhe seedhe bolo na ki handsome lag raha hoon.
Sai-giggled- aap khud ki hi taarif kar rahe hai!
Virat- nahi, mein apni biwi ki choice ki taarif kar raha hoon!
Sai- blushed.
Virat- Sai, tumhe nahi lagta ki tum mujhe aaj kuch zyada hi spoil Kar rahi ho.
Sai- nahi! Aapko pata hai mai kab se planning aur saving kar rahi hoon taki aaj ka din super special ho sake!
Virat- kya? Tumne ye sab gifts apni salary se liya hai?
Sai- haan obviously! Jab se meine khud earn karna start kiya hai, i've been saving up….but you know na, ki meri salary zyaada nahi hai, internship mein toh sirf stipend milti hai. Toh uss mein zyaada kuch nahi kar payi but….
Virat cut her off- Shh. Sai tum paagal ho! Yeh sab mere liye bahut special hai. Gifts ki keemat nahi, neeyat matter karta hai. Aur tumne apni mehnat se jo bhi earn kiya, voh sab tumne mere liye….he couldn't complete his sentence because he was overwhelmed and had become misty eyed. He held her face and said- kya karu mein tumhaara!
Sai said- kuch nahi! Ab zyaada senti hone ki zarurat nahi aur chaliye. Virat- just smiled and shook his head and said- kahaan chalun?
Sai- didn't answer, just pulled him by the hand and led him out impatiently.
Virat smiled at her excitement. Sometines Sai behaved like a child! And he loved that everyday he was seeing new facets of her personality. He cant think of anyone who'd be so excited for someone else's bday. And he was just enjoying all the pampering.Sai was driving his car and he just sat back and relaxed.They made their way to the nature reserve in the outskirts of Nagpur. Sai had booked a tree house for them at a resort!
Virat was shocked...his wife came up with the most interesting ideas! So they climbed up to the tree house and enjoyed tea and a small picnic there. There was a great view of the forest from the spot and it was nice to just soak in the fresh air of the place. They enjoyed the ambience and then headed back on the highway for a super late lunch at a roadside dhaba. After that they headed back home. And while Virat went to freshen up Sai quickly set up cushions and laptop in their room for them to watch a movie. She picked out Virat's latest fav movie- Zindagi na milegi dobara and got the popcorn ready. Virat was shocked at how quickly she set it all up. They settled down to watch the movie. Once the movie was done, he looked down to see that Sai had dozed off! It was not too late only 7pm but then he realized that all the planning must have tired her out. She probably woke up super early in the morning to bake and she had been super busy with her internship working long hours. He just stared at his beautiful wife and felt grateful to have her in his life. He was carefully moving her to lay her down more comfortably on the bed when she suddenly woke up with a start. She looked extremely guilty and said...sorry,voh pata nahi kaise aankh lag gayi. I'm SO sorry. But it's ok, I'm awake now. Dinner order karein?
Virat- Sai please tum already bahut kuch Kar chuki ho. Plus hum ne aaj bahut kha Liya Hai, so I can't eat any more. I know ki yeh sab arrange karne ke chakkar main tum kaafi thak gayi ho. So lets go to bed.
Sai- gave him a hug and just held onto him. Virat was also perfectly content to just hold her.It had been the best bday ever! He was definitely going to remember this day!
