I'm randomly watching an IF interview with Sharad from the early days of the show, and he was just asked a question about TRPs, and he said that ultimately for him the TRPs don't matter that much...what's more important is that the audience is connecting with you and your character. Toh TRP kam bhi ho, agar audience is watching for you/your char, that is the real achievement. And honestly, I'm so glad he believes/knows that, because it means he (and they all) are aware of the audience's love for them and their chars despite all the noise about TRPs or bad scripts 😳
