Part 3

Virat, without having his breakfast, followed his mother to her room. This left the entire chakram gang members surprised.

Ashwini's room

Ashwini (knowing Virat was in her room) ignored him completely and did not respond to any of his apologies. Virat shattered by his mother's ignorance turned to get out of the room when Ashwini's motherly instincts provoked her to stop her son and ask him those questions which she had reserved since the day she has known about his and Pakhi's relationship. She called him still showing her back to him, "Virat..."

Virat stopped and came running to his mother like a small kid who happily runs to his mother on seeing her after a long time. He hugged her from behind and asked her to forgive him only once.

Ashwini removed his hold and turned towards him. She said,"kuch sawaalon ke jawaab chahiye. Mujhe jawaab dene ki zaroorat nahi hai tu khud hi soch inke baare mein." Saying so, she continued "Kya Sai sach mein teri sirf zimmedari hai?"

He nodded his head signifying a yes. She again continued with her question asking him not to reply. Her questions:

"Agar sirf zimmedari thi to shaadi kyun kiya?"

"Agar shaadi ki majboori hi thi, to iss ghar mein kyun laya jab tujhe wo pasand nahi hai. Kisi hostel mein bhej deta."

Virat could not believe if it was his mother who was asking him these questions. He asked her," Aap Sai ko hostel bhejna chahthi hai?"

Ashwini replied sternly,"Haan, koi bhi yahi chahegi ki uski beti sukoon aur shanti se rahe. Agar aisa raha ghar to kabhi doctor nahi ban paayegi."

Virat looked at her teary-eyed. His mother was completely right. But why was it hurting him so much to send Sai to hostel. It was true that if someone has to study, they need a peaceful environment. The very thought of Sai not being in front of his eyes was itself unbearable for him.

Ashwini continued (looking into Virat's eyes, probably, she got her answers), "18 saal ki ladki hai, masti mazak karne ki umar hai naa ki thaane sunne ki". With that she finished her questioning session and asked him to quickly leave as he was getting late for his work.

On his way to the police station, his mother's words kept ringing in his ears. Was he really doing things out of duty and responsibility towards Sai or was it something else. Why did he marry Sai? Why could he not simply be her legal guardian? Why was the promise given to Pakhi now becoming a burden for him? He had to somehow talk to Sai and clear all the misunderstandings so that he could take her along with him to Ladakh.

Upon reaching the station, Virat came to know that he would be in night duty for next three days. The news broke him apart as this would mean he will not be able to see Sai for the next three days and also, will not be able to talk with her. He kept looking at Sai's profile picture on his Whatsapp ID list.

On the other hand, Sai was also equally missing Virat. She thought it was easy to ignore him, not talk to him, not see him but it was not. She did not understand this new found feeling inside her for Virat. She was lost all through her classes and her bestie Arjun (her friend since school days) helped her somehow to cope with the classes. Post college hours, she got a call from Virat. Jumping with joy, she picked the call and said,"Haan Virat Sir....."

Virat (lost and dreamy hearing her voice) thought to himself as to how much he missed this voice. It has been almost 24 hours that he heard her voice. However, he had only called to inform that he would be on a night duty deputation for the next three days. "Sai... wo main teen din ke liye night duty par hoon.... to tum apna khayal rakhna aur teek se khaana khaa lene"

Sai (her enlightened face sunk immediately): Kya.... kyun... aap mujhe akela.... stopped suddenly and started thinking why was she going to feel alone without him. What was she trying to convey him.

Virat was happy to realise that even she missed him the same way he did. He had to cut the call soon as there were other calls lined up for him,"Take care Sai... kuch ho to call karna... teek hai" (disconnected)

Sai was hurt but at the same time she was also happy that he called her to inform about his shifts considering her important enough to know about his work rotations.

With both of them lost in their own thoughts of analyzing and finding what was happening to them..... "Ghum hai kisi ke pyaar meiin"..... plays in the background.

Virat is trying to analyse his feelings for her

Part - 4

The entire week had been quite busy for both of them. As Virat was busy with his night duty so was Sai with her upcoming practicals plus Fresher's party at college. Its been three days since they both saw or spoke to each other. When he came home at wee hours she must be sleeping and it was vice versa when she left for college. They missed each other, longed for their company, their late night coffee banters, cute nok-jhok.

It was thursday afternoon and tomorrow was the Fresher's party. Sai wanted to inform as well as invite Virat for the party. She had been trying to tell him the last two days but somehow things did not work out. At once, she took out her phone,

Virat (glowing and beaming with a smile after reading the caller ID): Haan Sai.....

Sai: "Virat sir.... kaise hai aap" words choked.... she felt like butterflies flying inside her stomach hearing his voice. But still did want him to know about her feelings. Virat could understand from her voice that she too missed him and was happy to know.

Virat: Theek hoon.... thoda thak gaya hoon

Sai: Khaana theek se waqt pe khaa rahe hai na

Virat: Haan Sai... tum kaisi ho

Sai: Theek hoon. Mujhe aap se kuch bolna tha

VIrat: Haan bolo

Sai: Mere college mein Fresher's party hai Kal toh main aapko batana chahathi thi aur aapko bulana bhi chahthi hoon. Kya aapke paas kal waqt hai?? kya aap aa sakte hai?? koi zorr nahi hai bas bulana chahathi thi

Virat (excited): Zaroor aaoonga.... Suddenly he remembered that Sai did not have proper clothes to attend such parties and that she might be in need of money to do shopping. He felt like last time she might be hesitant to ask him for money so he quickly asked her, "achcha party ka theme hoga na toh tumhe kapde lene honge. Kal subah chale shopping pe??

Sai: Thank you Virat Sir. Theme toh western hai aur woh bhi red color ka code hai. Par aap chinta mat karo woh Aai aur Shivani bua ne dila diyaa mujhe kapde. Bas thodi alteration thi toh kal subah mil jaayegi. (happily chirped and excited about her new clothes)

Virat (little disappointed, however, happy that she had someone behind him at home to take care of her needs): That's nice. Toh main kal zaroor aaoonga Sai ke party par. Khush?

Sai: Thank you. Bye!!! ( a wide grin)

Virat to himself: Sirf theen din awaaz nahi suni tumhaari Sai par lagta hai ki bahut saal hogaya. Kya ho tum mere liye aur kyun main tumse door nahi jaa paata.

It was 5 AM in the morning when Virat returned home. He came in his room, stretching himself he fell on his bed tired and exhausted. Sai, who was awake and studying, came near him looked at him for a while, removed his shoes, unbuttoned the first two buttons of his shirt, made him straight on the bed and covered him with the blanket. She was lost looking at his sleeping form and caressed his hair lovingly. Aai who had brought some warm milk for Virat looked at the confused and lost souls from the entrance of their room. She went back swiftly so as to not disturb them and let out a silent prayer to Bappa for their togetherness and happiness.

It was 7.30 AM and Virat was still asleep. He woke up with the sound of the bathroom door which Sai had closed from behind very rashly. He sat on the bed rubbing his eyes saying, "Sai tum...." (sleepy voice). Once he opened his eyes, he saw Sai walking towards the dressing table. She was looking as fresh as a dew drop in that yellow suit set which she was wearing. It was a tailor made one having a deep back neck with a zip closure. Virat was awestruck at the sight in front of his eyes. He keenly observed the droplets of water from her freshly washed hair sliding down her throat and below. He felt those droplets to satisfy his lifelong thirst. He kept gazing at her and she could feel the heat of his gaze. She lowered her eyes to not look at him as she was trembling. The room was slowly heating up due to sexual tension that was getting built. Sai tried her best to ignore his gaze and made sure to appear unaffected. Her phone beeped with messages from Arjun asking her to come early as they need to rehearse for the dance they were to perform. She quickly put her hair in the front and started patting with the towel exposing her bare back to him. Virat could no more sit in the bed, he walked towards her and Sai became more conscious with him coming closer. He stood right at her back that she could feel his hot breath on her skin. He leaned forward and whispered into her ears that her zip was only half way open. She turned abruptly while catching hold of the dressing table for balance and pushing her hair back to hide her back. It was evident from Virat's face that he was quite pissed with her actions but they were meant to be like that. She was not doing anything wrong. Their marriage was with T&C and if the lines have to be crossed every loose knot had to be tied and the conditions had to be revoked.

He stepped back and started walking back saying," Main aai ya Shivani bua ko bhej doonga woh tumhari help kar denge...." before he completed, she interrupted saying,"wo dono ghar pe nahi hai..."

Virat: Theek hai... kisi aur ko bhej deta hoon

Sai: Nahi.... (she did not want to get taunted for such a petty thing) Itni mehnat kyun karna aap hi kar dijiye. Tomatoes would envy her now as she was a throwing them a tough competition.

Virat (smiling victoriously) turned and came towards her. She had shut her eyes tightly while he checked her out top to toe. He felt happy seeing the effect he had on her. He moved forward, peeped through her shoulders and pushed her hair front with the tip of his thumb. The contact with each other's skin sent shivers down their spine. Her fragrance and her soft skin made him go wild. He realised that Sai could turn him on by literally doing nothing. While she tightly held on to his shoulders and he slowly pulled the zip up not wanting the moment to get over anytime soon. The moment Sai realised that it was done, she pulled herself back swiftly creating the much needed space between them. Virat was irritated with her behavior, however, she was not at fault as it was him who had laid her conditions of no expectations and limits.

Sai (changing the sexual tension into a lighter moment): Thank you Virat Sir. Yaad hai na aaj Fresher's party hai

Virat (not in a mood): Haan haan. Tum ruko main tumhe drop kar deta hoon.

He did not want her go to college alone as she was looking extremely beautiful today. There was something with Sai and Yellow color he thought, as the last time she wore a yellow kurti too, he went crazy looking at her.

After half an hour, Virat was out dressed in his casuals. He saw his mother, Shivani bua and Sai talking and giggling about something. He quipped,"Kya ho raha hai"

Shivani all excited took out the dress she brought for Sai and showed Virat. It was a one sided shoulder red body hugging mid-length dress with frills on the other side of the shoulder. Virat knew his wife would look hot and sexy in that one so he did not want her to wear the same. He keeping it aside," Kaisa dress hai... lagta hai tight hoga. Sai tum ye nahi pehnogi" leaving the women in the room shocked and surprised.
