LOL, it helped that I watched it two years after it ended, so neither did I have to wait for episodes, nor was I involved in the fandom side of it, which would have had me riled up in no time, I'm sure, at some of the tracks. Plus, I'd seen warnings from my friends about Redux, so actually, the first time I watched the show I stopped just before the episode where it all goes wrong, and it was only after I'd done another full re-watch of the OG season did I skip through Redux out of curiosity. I hated it (among other things they ruined ShivOmRu!!!), and then instead of going back to OG Shivika they decided to just amalgamate the two versions and pretend like this was normal there were some bits in Redux I liked (like their pool romance) but mostly it was blah. Both NM and SC looked and seemed so tired of it all, like the spark was gone. Dhinchaak toh I simply refused to watch. Not least bc NM looked like a tool in that look Also for me the show was Anika.

4 lions really works on promotion of their shows and lead pairs man..i literally have the shivika song downloaded!!

I have O Jaana downloaded as well, all versions of it! I now prefer Dil Ibaadat (it's angsty in the way I love) but do still love O Jaana too.

Shivaay's arc was really ahmazing yr..by the end of the show he became my favourite character but towards the end i rather missed his tadi and that world revolves around me attitude 😂 Haha yeah, he became a bit too much like Anika by the end. In the beginning, I genuinely hated him for a bit. I remember thinking "why should I root for this guy to get the girl?". Even now sometimes when I watch certain eps and tracks I viscerally hate him. But he did grow and Anika really changed him for the better.

Very honestly, if there's one thing that i still hate about ib is that they did not keep the original jodis..except for shivika rudra and om both got different leads later on...i loved the original concept of boys falling in love woth girls that were literally their opposite in every fraeking thing..nature, dressing style, family life , ethics everything!!! Same, although I didn't feel much for Om's original pairings, either of them. Sumo I loved, but then they ruined her too. No idea why they didn't keep the original jodis. Gauri and Bhavya were okay, but I didn't feel they had much in common with OmRu.

Shivaay's room and the pool area...oofff Pinterest worthy!!

I just realised that this i not the thread to talk about this but since I've penned it down now so...😛LMAO same, but I seem to make a habit of this 😳😆 we really maybe should open up a random chat thread...

Haha fair enough. Maybe one day we can rant to our heart's content. I never really had anyone to vent with either...by the time I'd watched everyone else had moved on to other shows 😆

I will say one thing though, if SharBhi ever do get a Gul show, please can they hire someone other than Shivani Shirali for the costuming? 🤪I could not bear to see SM in makkhi suits

I disliked Redux heavily, and did not bother watching Dhinchaaaaak but early IB was *chef's kiss*. Up until it got weird with the social message tracks...but tab bhi, the romance between Shivika keeps you going. Baaki I ignored the other two sets of jodis 🤣

The one thing I hate about her shows is the ML is usually a bit toxic (to varying degrees). I've been spoiled by Veer . That said, SSO had a great arc, so it could be repeated. Now I'm talking myself into dreaming of a 4 Lions show for SharBhi 😆

Edit: the thing that annoyed me about IB was they never completely ended one track before launching into the next. Gave me a headache 😆 but luckily since I binge watched years later, I could just skip the stuff I didn't like, and didn't need to wait for the next episode.

About lalit mohan one thing is awesome that his camera angles on shivika

Thats what we are missing in vani(i felt like that) otherwise sharbhi would be more amazing. First i thought i wont get a couple like narbhi but sharbhi was pure magic

Cause after the bad editing and angles still we felt their sparkling chemistry😘🤪😜

And oh jaana it was my caller tune for many days. Uff those days... 🤣😂

Yeah, looking at Gul's current shows it seems like IB was an exception 😒

In the early days of N5 I think the direction was great on Vani, and their scenes were longer as well (I remember every time I thought the scene would naturally end, it kept going). Cinematography was better, as were dialogues. Now I feel it's all gone a bit downhill, so don't know if they've changed hands or what but it's def different. And the editing, by god the editing the thing that keeps it all together is Vani and SharBhi's chemistry. Otherwise it wouldn't work for me.

After Shivika/NarBhi I never expected to find another jodi with such chemistry, and frankly was surprised by how quickly Vani took over my heart since I'm in the depths of Vani/SharBhi right now I feel I prefer them atm, but I'm sure that would see-saw depending on which show I was watching. Both are great in their own ways; right now there is just something so potent and special about Vani/SharBhi. And IDK, maybe bc I'm seeing SharBhi's bonding in real time, it feels that much more special to me.
