ArShi/Non-ArShi?: Arshi

Moment: Arnav faints in the kitchen

Why you love it: This was the first time when Khushi sees the proud, arrogant, always-in-control Arnav in such a vulnerable state. She is confused, helpless and totally clueless about what's happening and what needs to be done. But she manages to revive him by feeding him her favorite sweet - jalebi. I just find it to be a multidimensional scene. Barun & Sanaya nailed this one. Incidentally this was the scene that got introduced me to IPK, so it's my forever favorite ☺️

UFF YES. I LOVE this scene because it is entirely from Khushi's perspective. Her care, worry, attraction. You can see her infatuation bordering on a shy, first love over here. And her ultimate concern - nothing mattered more than Arnav's health. Also one nice thing to note is that for a very long time, she never ignores Arnav again. Yes, she does tell him how he 'annoys' her during Mehendi and immediately starts a manhunt when he's missing - but yes, she's always next to him.

ArShi/Non-ArShi?: Arshi

Moment: Jab Khushi ulajh gayi

Why you love it: I just love everything about this scene. The way Arnav finds Khushi tangled in the lights, the way he untangles her (that scene gives me goosebumps no matter how many times I watch it) and finally the way he tells Anjali "Khushi ulajh gayi". Uff!

THAT DIALOGUE GAVE ME THE BIGGEST FLUTTERS IN MY HEART. Yes, they walked this really thin tightrope of them knowing the other has feelings versus their own feelings in their hearts. So dialogues like "Khushi ulajh gayi" has so much depth and power. It says so much. Literally. And this fairylight scene was intimate. Literally.

ArShi/Non-ArShi?: Non-Arshi

Moment: Tu hain meri fantasy

Why you love it: I love the whole song sequence mainly because how creatively it was captured, right from the moment when one of the Prakash brother faints till the time bitwa witnesses the madness himself. The choreography, picturization & execution was flawless.

Are you living in my mind? I literally rewatch this scene every two days! IT WAS SO FLAWLESS and in my eyes a decent attempt at correcting how ethically wrong it was to coerce Khushi into doing this job in the first place. I like that there's a verbal acknowledgment that Khushi is family without any relation with any family member. I love it that this isn't for Arnav's 'whatever-they-are', Akash's saali, or anyone else. I love it they aren't 'keeping' her because she's "good" for Lavanya or Arnav. The Raizada's just love her. All for friendship and sisterhood.

ArShi/Non-ArShi?: Arshi

Moment: New year's eve

Why you love it: That moment when Khushi switches on the lights and finds herself looking at Arnav instead of her Jiji 😁🧡 The way her expression changes from pure joy to "what the...!" was brilliant. And Arnav....haaye!! The way he looks at her...it's something that cannot be described in words.

I screamed in happiness even though I predicted what would happen 🤣 One of my most favorite thing about this whole track is the amount of effort they put to make sure this happens logically! They could've easily cheated with this but no - the setup was so fabulous! They made sure NK would give stupid ideas to Akash, then NK would refuse to help (lol got served with Buaji's darshan later) and then followed up with Buaji putting glue, Akash's pant getting stuck, Arnav rescuing him but forgetting a new pair of pants so as to he ends up in Khushi's room forgetting his phone there.

👏to the team, literally.

ArShi/Non-ArShi?: Arshi

Moment: Arnav Khushi's first night at Buaji's

Why you love it: Khushi's Taekwondo poses were absolutely hilarious and Arnav's reaction to them made me laugh even more. In fact the entire sequence before they go to sleep was awesome

Khushi: "Maaf kijiye, magar hum hamesha iss taraf sote hain"

Arnav: "Ok, maaf kiya. Par main bhi hamesha isi side sota hoon"

I have a love hate relationship with this scene. I mean I LOVE how hilarious this is... but I'm also like if I'm Arnav I won't be complaining if my wife uses me like a pillow ☺️🤣 And not just for gutter mind reasons, bas aise hi! Also, I have a whole love hate relationship with the Gupta House track just because what preceded it and what happened later *cringe alert - the Swami and suicide track 👎🏼*

Trust me when I say the pleasure is all mine 😊

It took me an hour to draft this post. Well, 10 mins to draft and rest of the time to drool over the gifs that showed up in the search. Best 1 hour of my life 😎 The toughest part was choosing only 5 out of many.

Loved reading your take on all the scenes. It has been almost a decade, but nothing comes even close to IPK. Thanks for creating this post. I had fun reliving the moments ❤️🤗

I'm reliving so many happy moments on this thread. And more than that, drooling over the amazing gifs that have been posted!

ArShi/Non-ArShi?: Arshi

Moment: Arnav looking at Khushi the morning after Rakshabandhan (that just sounds wrong 😆)

Why you love it: The scorching intensity with which he looks at her as he sits on the chaise is bone melting. It's clear he's been sitting there for a while, waiting for her to wake up. You can literally hear Khushi's heart thudding as she reaches for her dupatta.

She knows he's going to say something seismic. But, as always, a RM wasis turns to scupper the moment :( And we come to know of the existence of the "Hand".

In true IPK style, every pleasure must be followed by pain.

Namastey ji,

Ah looks like I am also in your train of thought of thinking wrong kyunki the line "every pleasure must be followed by pain" took me in the completely wrong direction. Haye, narg ka dwaar nazar aa raha hai.

But yes, I was both baffled and happy when that scene came because after the terrible end to the 24-hour track I was so satisfied to see a moment where (a) Arnav showed genuine emotions bordering on remorse (b) There was a true attempt to seek forgiveness and give happiness.

I was baffled because this scene spoke of intimacy. It was incredibly intimate and soft... and perhaps I was confused further by Khushi's bizarre reaction to a suhaagraat and the nonsense that followed.

This one scene spoke of a certain comfort level and closeness that honestly the audience wasn't privy to. It also never quite existed before this moment. So I had several questions. Which is why the whole SR thing never quite made sense because of moments like this.

One of the reasons why I liked this scene is because it is one of the few scenes where Khushi admits that she likes the flirtation openly. I know it's to herself but she's eager and I'm always happy when I see women on screen showing that they are comfortable, excited and anticipate passion as opposed to the stereotype that's often showed.

So yes, I LOVE this scene and in my secret version - this happens after their wedding cause we can happily assume what happened before 😈 (jokes apart) I just wished to see this scene uninterrupted by any nonsense or impending fear of the 'Hand'

Namaste Sji,

Your version is riveting and I want more please... not so subtle hint 😄

In my head, while Khushi would feel shy at Arnav's open flirtation, she would not shy away from it. She feels every emotion strongly and ultimately honestly. Be it any of the facets of love.

As for that 'Aaj hamari suhaag raat hai', certain elements of that were beautifully shot. Of course that "Because I love you dammit" was stunning, but there was a moment before that was very powerful as well. Arnav refusing to let go of Khushi when Dadi turns up. The way he looks at Subhadra Devi... Barun was superb in the way his entire body seemed to gear up to challenge her.

Aapko phirse namaste,

Oh you're opening a Pandora's box here! Dekh lo, iss conversation ke zimmedaar hum nahi hai!

In my head there are two possibilities of that morning:

1) If it is where it is in canon, then Arnav and Khushi have taken a step towards intimacy that's not shown to the audience. Which is why Arnav finds it incredibly easy to suggest a 'suhaagraat' to his wife. Not because Khushi says 'we haven't done things that a husband and wife do', it's because they have done something but not all the way.

Maybe I'm being besharam, but I just find it awkward that Arnav would be like "Yeah Khushi, you're right. [Since I forcibly married you by blackmailing you, and then had a tumultuous marital life where obviously no consummation happened] - let's have sex." Also the Arnav we love is consent king. Diwali is special cause physically they were both into sharing a kiss. Teri Meri had our hearts, souls and more. Arnav never ventured more than a kiss with Khushi, that too with caution in mind.

I do not see marriage giving him any idea that it's ok to suggest sex. He, fortunately, isn't like that. Arnav literally just needs Khushi to be comfortable and eager - which happens on their bachelor night.

Also I found the whole 'reeti riwaaz' idea very weird in the first place given that they didn't happily elope and get married. It was a very troubling night and I was weirded out by how they trivialized it.

Par theek hai, gile shikve fursat main baantenge kabhi.

2) In my version of events, Khushi's back home from fashion thing (it's NOT a Mrs. India, let's assume she successfully did something related to fashion, by accepting the thing Arnav gave her but also by being independent - you know what I mean) and she spins this emotional tale of not being able to do it without him. Arnav doesn't let on how much that means to him until Khushi comes home at night to find Arnav having penned down his feelings into that wonderful note (Khushi, tumhe hamesha se yehi shikayat rehti hai na ki... ). They're both sentimental. Scene fades out and we assume they kiss. Subha utke ASR is staring at his wife who is sleeping late for obvious reasons.

Not to be tharki, but that LOOK he gives her and the LOOK she sends back.

It speaks of a very satisfying night.

And this is not me, this is B and Ridz!

Oh some parts of the suhaagraat track was hilarious. But I was just dying for ONE scene where Khushi was not uncomfortable? Cause then it does feel terrifying. It was too Indian telly-esque to show a woman with no sense of passion. Or that 'passion' is ok post shaadi. We all know Khushi is traditional but you know what I'm saying right.

oH Barun and Sanaya looked gorgeous that day! Barun was FANTASTIC. EFFING FANTASTIC. But Khushi did get to my nerves. I mean I can always defend her actions and find justifications but given that at this point I would have loved to have her to express her truest emotions in the lines of:

"Humare liye shadi sab kuch hai, jo aapke liye kuch nahi."

"What's wrong with you? Kya hogaya hai tumhe? Reeti riwaaz hi sab kuch hai?"

"Haan. Kyunki yeh hume aapke saath hamesha hamesha ke liye baand kar rakhega. Humare rishte ko ek naam dega."

"Humare rishte ka naam hai,"

"Nahi hai. Phere kasme hote hai, mantre vaade hote hai. Ek anguti rishta dil tak kheech deti hai aur sindoor... Arnav ji, uss raat jo aapne kaha, aap usse ek shadi ka naam dekar khush hai?"

"Unn baaton ka koi matlab nahi tha,"

"Toh phir iss shadi ki kya matlab hai?"

"Matlab hai."

"Kaise? Na pheron ki matlab, na vaadon ki. Aap hi bataye kis cheez ka matlab hai?-"

"THAT I LOVE YOU DAMN IT!"

*cough* *cough*

Yes I did want them to address their first wedding. Yes this was where Khushi's hesitance truly lay. I hate 4 Lions for making them so beautiful and then Arnav striding away and then Dadi hijacking the wedding. Ugh.

As you can see, I am a wee bit touchy about this 😳 But I'd love to know your thoughts nonetheless!
