Virat POV:

He was looking on the other side of the bed which is occupied by a soul who is the reason for most his turmoil's these days. He cannot pin-point the exact date or time , but he feels something for her. When he thinks of that, the scene from earlier this night plays in front of his eyes; her breath, her smell, those doe-shaped eyes, those soft lips and thud.. and back to earth with that thought. He gets angry on her, when she talks back to his family, but lately he has started noticing how his family, unnecessarily corners her, how they taunt her. He has tried to stop Sai from interfering in other’s matters; so that she can be in the good books with his Kaku and Father, but lately he has realised that whatever she does, she cannot accept her. Everyday, there is some or other drama in the house and the blame lands on Sai; and every time this kind of situation arises he finds himself in a Tug-of-War kind of situation, where ultimately he is the rope. As soon he goes to close the lights, his eyes land upon his phone and the scenes from evening starts to playin his mind (her blush, Jai, his name, good night messages) and he takes out his earphones to hear what was that call about.

Sai and Jai Conversation:

Jai: Maine jaldi call kar liya ki aa gayi thi, “Best Friend” room mei?

Sai: Giggling, nahi bilkul theek time pe kia, who aagayi thi.

Jai: Tumhe taane dene pe aayi thi, ki apne“ Best Friend” ki seva mei lagi thi?

Sai: Nahi, aaj toh kuch hua tha shayad meri jagah apne “Best Friend” ko taane de rahi thi.

Jai: Aur baaki gharwalon ne kya kya special dishes khilai tumhe? He asked laughing..

And Sai told about all her accusations, how she felt about them and the replies she gave to them.

Sai: Pata hai Jai tumse baat karke pata nhi kyun mere Dil ko sukoon sa mil jaata hai, aisa lagta hai maano mere life mei koi problem hi nhi hai.

Jai: Tumhari toh koi problem nhi hai, par meri problem ka mai kya karun?

Sai: Tumhari konsi problem?

Jai: Dekha bhul gyi naa? Freshers Party, Dance Partner, this Sunday!! Kuch yaad aaya ab?

Sai: Usme kya problem hai, itni saari ladkiyan toh hain kisi se bhi puch lo! Tumhe koi mana nhi karegi.

Jai: Par mujhe jo apni special friend ke saath dance karna hai uska kya karun mai?

Sai: Konsi special friend? She asks in an irritated tone.

Jai: Are wahi and he sings this song:

Jiska chaand sa roshan cheharaa,julfon kaa rang sunaharaa

Jiski Jheel see neelee aankhe, koeeraaj hain jin meingaharaa

Sai: Aur kaun hai woh? (Sai asks blushing)

Jai: Sai Joshi aur kaun!! Jai replies laughing. Acha  aapne permission li hai Fresher’s party ki apne Deal wale husband se?

Virat POV:

He stops the recording, he does not need to listen further. All his questions are answered, he knows what is missing from his Sai and his relationship. He looks towards Sai’s Sleeping form. He knows why there relationship felt this incomplete to him; because Sai stopped sharing her sorrows with him, she shared her happiness with him but her sorrows she shared with someone else. He cannot explain, why he felt this heart broken but it hurt causing tremendous pain. He did not knew what caused him more pain the fact that Sai stopped sharing her pains and sorrows with him or that she chose someone else over him to share her sorrows.

In morning, Sai wakes up to see a red – eyed Virat staring back at her. Sai tries to sit on bed when her phone chimes. Virat knowing whose message it would be, gives a sarcastic smile.

Virat: Good Morning Sai. Kya baat hai lagta hai connection bahut strong hai, yahan tumhari aankh nahi khul paati aur message aa jata hai.

Sai: Matlab?

Virat: Matlab kuch nhi; saying this he leaves the room with eyes filled with tears and heart with fire.

"Jis bageeche me murjhaye hue phool na ho, kuch sukhe patte na ho, vo bageecha bageecha nahi hota." 

When Sai is getting ready for college, Virat enters the room. He stops in the doorway looking at her getting ready. He notices how she uses mascara on her long lashes, how she applies lip color on her soft lips all the while thinking , whom she is getting ready for is it him or Jai? He gets back his composure and enters the room.

Virat: Tumne btaya nahi  College kaise chal rha hai tumhara?

Sai: Acha Chal rha hai. She remembers the scene from last night, their closeness and everything.

At this, he remembered the first day when she came to him about his medical result and how he ill-treated. At this, his eyes fill up at tears again but he controls them, thinking maybe he deserves this.

Virat: Itne din ho gaye tumhare college ko shuru huye, tumhare college mein freshers ko welcome nahi karte kya?

Sai: Nahi, aisa nhi hai. Humari bhi Fresher’s party hai is Sunday ko.

Virat: Tumne toh btaya nahi?

Sai: To lighten the atmosphere, Haa toh ab bata rhi hu!

Virat understands what Sai is trying to do and turns around and gives her a penetrating look. Sai shuts up efficiently.

Virat: Shopping ho gayi, tumhari Freshers ke liye.

Sai: Fresher’s ka theme Western hai, aur mujhe nahi lagta Kaku hume jaane dengi!!

Virat stopped what he was doing at “HUME” and looked at Sai .She was looking at him with her lost puppy look. “HUME” se matlab?

Sai: Haa toh aap bhi toh jayenge, mai akele thodi naa jaungi aur mujhe aapko kisi se milwana bhi hai.

Virat didn’t knew why but his heart flickered with hope at this statement. Maybe all is not lost, maybe still something could be done, remedies could be done, repair could be made.

Virat: Tumne toh abhi kaha ki Kaku hume nahi jaane dengi, phir?

Sai: Toh aap permission le lenge naa!!

Virat gave her a mock angry look to which Sai made puppy cute face.

Virat: Shaam ko taiyaar rehna, hum shopping pe jayenge he said with a smile.

The next few moments went like a whirlwind as Sai ran towards him, hugged him tight and gave a peck on his cheeks and ran out of the door asking him not be late for the shopping.

Virat stood there dumbfounded, realising what just happened.

"Pyar ek zimmedari hai jisse sirf taqdeer waale uthaya karte hai"

Atleast Virat is doing something useful being a police officer by listening to Sai conversations....

He is realising his and his family unnecessary burden on Sai.....

And how Sai is dealing with all this with a real friend Jai unlike him who is obsessed to keep Sai bound to his useless family making her life difficult!!

Can't wait for Jai-virat meet...he can become more jealous after putting a face to a name !!

Hope Virat realise soon his feelings for Sai.

Despite listening to her conversations if he doesn't figure out how hurt she is because of PP his "best friend" then he shouldn't be a police officer. Sai is really innocent. She has finally found a friend to share her problems with because Virat didn't listen to her. I hope he can start seeing things clearly atleast now.. instead of only getting jealous he needs to introspect!
