As per the original (Varudhini Parinayam) Vedanth and Dhruv are not Suhasini's children. I think they are either Shridhar's first wife's children or his brother's children wherein vedanth's parents had died and they were brought up by Shridhar and Suhasini. I think its the latter if I remember correctly as Vikrant is elder than Dhruva so Shridhar cannot be Vedanth and Dhruva's father.

Dhruva also doesn't know secret this but he knows suhasini is not as good as she projects herself to Vedanth but vedanth doesn't believe this and kicks his brother out.

Kannada serial attempts to break gender stereotypes with heroine performing last rites of late father

One of the most popular Kannada shows currently on air, Kannadathi recent episode had a strong social message, as far as breaking gender stereotypes go. On the show, Ranjani Raghavan’s character Bhuvaneshwari loses her father unexpectedly. As the family struggles to come to terms with their loss, the fact that she has no male siblings to conduct the last rites, becomes a hot topic of discussion. But she decides to bypass traditions and goes on to light her father’s pyre, despite stiff societal opposition.

Ranjani says, “I can relate to this episode as something similar transpired in my family. A year ago, my grandmother passed away and since they had no male offspring, my mother and her three sisters performed the final rites of my grandmother. It’s a momentous occasion that the team of the show has decided to take a brave step and touch upon such a sensitive matter.”

Incidentally, a decade ago, a lady from Srirangapatna performed the last rites of her deceased father, even tonsuring her head as part of the rituals.

The blackmailer tells Vicky that he knows many secrets of the Vashishta family and tells that he will reveal one secret which he asks Vicky to tell to his father then Shridhar will give him (the blackmailer) all that he asks. Paramananda (Suhasini's brother secretly watches this conversation from afar while trying to reach his sister on the phone)

The blackmailer then reveals one secret of the vashista family which si that Suhasini is the reason Vedanth kicked dhruva out of the house. He then proceeds to further reveal that Dhruva had gotten to know that Suhasini had siphoned crores of rupees from Vedanths business. But when Dhruva informed this to Vedanth, Vedanth didn't be;ieve him and ousted him from the house.

Vikrant doesn't believe him and asks how can a mother cheat her own son. the blackmailer laughs and informs that Vedanth is not Suhasini and Shridhar's son. the blackmailer then tells Vicky to ask his father if he still doesn't believe him.

Simultaneously Vedanth takes Amulya to a house inside which it is decorated with balloons and lights. He bends on one knee and just while he is proposing Amulya, Vikrant and Aarthi's car stops outside the house. Vikrant's shouts Vedanth's name. vedanth and amulya walk out of the house looking concerned.

Vikrant tries to cross the road thinking about talking to Vedanth about this issue but he meets with an accident as he is knocked by a car. Vikrant's body lies lifeless on the road as a shell shocked Vedanth, Amulya and Aarthi look on.

It is then revealed that the driver who knocked down Vicky was none other than Paramananda.

PS: In today's episode it shows that suhasini was the one who ordered her brother to stop Vikrant before the truth is revealed to Vedanth. When Paramananda reveals to Suhasini that he knocked off Vikrant in an accident she laughs hysteriously leaving her brother shocked. She then reveals that Vicky is not her own son. Which means that Adya is the only biological child of Shridhar and Suhasini.

Feel free to ask whenever you dont understand anything and need translation.I dont think Vedanth-Vikrant-Dhruva are Suhasini's children. If Dhruva was her son she wouldn't have let Vedanth throw him out of her house.Aadya is definitely her daughter as she was so concerned during her previous miscarraige and also during her current pregnancy.

I saw first 3 episodes of Mansalla neene and then after reading the synopsis of the original on wikipedia discontinued as i didn't find it enticing enough.

I dont watch all serials only those which are of less rona-dhona and saas-babhu drama. Thats the reason I watch gattimela (which is more youth oriented) and kannadathi (which is my current favourite as the lead pair are so refreshing).

If you arent watching kannadathi i would recommend you that show as its very interesting.

Sathya on zee kananda is also a very serial. I have seen the tamil version. Its different as the lead couple have a role reversal as far as character traits are concerned. While the female lead is a tomboy and bike mechanic who is fearless and brave the male lead is a businessman but is timid in nature. Even after marriage while the girl addresses her husband with his name the male lead addresses her as ji (like how usually women address their husband).

In kannada they are not yet married. I shall start watching it after they get married as I already know the story. But you can try it.

dammn.... MN is totally different from YHC... even YHC viewers accepting it... YHC had many loop holes and unconvincing story from start like leads meet

here Arun and Raaga meeting... ther bonding gradually increasing... so beautifully executed....
