Decoding the first Episode - A trip down the memory lane

A post that i have wanted to write for a long time. In my opinion the best episode of this season, Mainly because it was set in the pre covid period and it pretty much sums up the future of our lead characters if you understand it carefully.

The curtains rise and the first few minutes, they reveal one of the male leads of the show, Vansh Rai Singhania. We hear his take on betrayal, something that had kept us waiting for such a track for a long time, Next we know he pushes a girl wearing an orange dupatta from the top of a light house. The writers give us a sense of notion that he is the bad guy and we are quite sure of it.

We see the dupatta flying in the air and cut to a few hours back,

Riddhima, The female lead of the show wearing the same orange dupatta talking about destiny and its unpredictability.

She shares with her best friend her decision to propose to her boyfriend, Kabir, a P T Teacher, A simple guy, an orphan just like riddhima.

We hear her dream of having a family, a calm life, her dream of having a partner who may not be six figure salary guy or a business man like her friend suggested, But give her the love, security and a sense of loyalty that is important for any person in a relationship.

Riddhima feels that she can get it from Kabir. By now we have understood that there might be someone else who will offer these things to her..After all Destiny has its own set of surprises.

Cut to the same PT Teacher who is not what he claims to be. An undercover cop on the pursuit of a deadly criminal, as he calls, Vansh Rai Singhania. He manages to grab on to one of the workers of VRS and coerce him to turning an approver against VRS. Again we come across the indications of what will unfold if someone were to betray Vansh rai singhania that the guy preferred death over betraying him.

Riddhima on her way to meet her love to propose him first comes across Vansh. Vansh on his phone with his most trusted employee mentions one of his many larger than life lines " VRS ki zindagi mein jo aata hai uska rook badal jata hai" and the next second he bumps into riddhima and takes a 360 degree turn himself . Strange isn't it. Someone who claimed that people's life would turn upside down when they come across him takes a complete turn himself.

Though both of them did not see each other, We knew that this was just a beginning to their complicated love story.

Riddhima proposes to Kabir who is overwhelmed by her love for him but before he could give an answer, he is distracted by a call informing him of Vansh's next moves and he leaves not beofre promising to meet her at their special place. Coincidence..I think not.. Again, Vansh unintentionally comes between Riddhima and Kabir .

All of a sudden, All three of them find themselves in the same place, with their own motives. A beach party, organised by Vansh, the owner, arranged by Riddhima, the party planner and to be infiltrated by Kabir, the undercover cop.

Riddhima and Vansh's first proper meeting and fire engulfs between them indicating to the viewers the passion we will witness between them in the future. The title song plays in the background making it quite obvious as to who the real pair of the show is.

The debate over flowers - a beautiful metaphor of their own lives.

"When other colors mix with white, white gives the other colors the grace and other colors gives life to white."

We knew then, One day Riddhima will bring life into the life of the always brooding Vansh rai singhania and he would provide the peace to her in return.

There is also a secret agent, Neha lurking around the shadows trying to find evidence against Vansh. A few hit and miss and the writers try to pull wool over the viewer's eyes by showing as if it is Riddhima who Vansh is suspicious of.

We finally come to the first part of the epsiode, Where Vansh confronts the girl with the orange duppata, Neha. and after sometime we see Vansh pushing Neha down the light house thus concluding the first scene.

Neha's dying words "I hope someone strong enough comes and breaks the wings off the great VRS" and the next second we see Riddhima pushing the huge billboard/poster of Vansh. Strong indication that she will be the downfall of Vansh. Also we see tears in her eyes with a conflicting expression, the reason for the same is different in the episode but it is also another slight indication of her feelings when she ll cause destruction to Vansh.

Everything that we should expect from the show is pretty much given in the first episode. Everything is not what it looks like. If you have followed carefully, you would have noticed it.

Superb! Still remember VRS car turning 360 degrees when he met her.

Amazing post yaar!! From the very first episode itself makers have hinted that riansh will be together and riddhima will be the cause of this downfall..they will break and heal each other and will pass through all miserable moments..after this angst track gets over they will be the couple that will trust and love each other beyond limits provided riddhima should be still there in the mansion
