I started REBECCA yesterday. I am just 40 pages in. I am intrigued by it which is apparently a good thing.
I never said I didn't like "Too late"đ. But others would call it trashy. It's not a realistic story.

Guys, 99bookscart is sending mystery boxes with 15 books for Rs999 only along with few bookmarks. If anyone is interested in it you should check it out.
@Shanam: I'm 4 chapters in, and am finding it interesting too. There's an ominous feeling to it because of the narrative style, which just makes me like it more, what with my love for thrillers.
That deal sounds cool, even if it's risky. Have you ever shopped from this website?
@diya I am almost at the end. I won't spoil it for you. Carry on and let's see how it goes for you.
And no, I haven't. I don't read physical books you know.
I still havent started Rebeccađ€
btw, have any of you guys been a beta reader before? I was thinking of doing that as freelance since I love reading anyway. Is it a difficult job?đł Need some opinions please.
@Hinna: I used to get heartbroken over tv shows ages ago, not any longer. I donât think Iâve ever cried over a tv show, I draw a line there đ
When you have shipped a particular couple and then they pair up one of them with someone else, it used to be a cause of great agony when I was younger đ
I was thinking of giving Turkish shows a shot, but they go on and on for over a hundred episodes. I donât think I have that kind of patience to watch anything.
I also havenât started reading Rebecca yet, should start in a couple of days, hopefully.
Mystery/thrillers are the easiest for me. đ
Completely agree. Itâs the same with me. I havenât read thrillers in a while because I know once I start, I will go down a rabbit hole of reading only thrillers and I wonât get to reading any other books that I have planned to read.
I keep thinking about reading romance but always find a reason to procrastinate. It's not even that I don't like them, I really do, but it's a struggle to make myself give that first push. I don't even remember the last time I read romance...probably Julia Quinn's work or Sense and Sensibility.Since you mentioned Julia Quinn, there is a show that recently came out on Netflix based on one of her books. Itâs called Bridgertons, and itâs based on the first book of that series. Itâs a big hit and itâs just 8 episodes. The show has fantastic actors and is quite engaging. The romance in the show is quite steamy which I think was the case with how it was in the books as well.
That's one more reason I really want to read it this time. I really need to get out of my comfort zone.
I can imagine. It's the same with books and some movies. I get too invested in the characters, especially if it's a series. I used to watch TV shows, the ones that started with good concepts, but then they all degraded into the same old conspiracy-theory marathons, which was such a disappointment. I want to try watching some English series one day. I hear a lot about how good they are.
Watch Bridgertons and if you have more time to invest, give Gilmore Girls a shot.
@Shanam: Wow! For a classic, you finished pretty quickly. Now I am pressurised to start.
I bought 7 books last month when I already have over a 100 unread books đ„ and so now Iâm on a self imposed book buying ban till May; letâs see how long it lasts.

Sorry girl, I have no idea.
I read book 6th(I don't know why 6th) of BRIDGERTON SERIES last year. I enjoyed it but didn't get around to read other books.
Because everyone was raving about the show, I read the first book the Duke and I last week. I wanted to read it before watching it. It was good. Now I am more intrigued about the show.
