Old vs New YRKKH

Rewatched a few old episodes recently & it was a whole different show!

In the crowd of Ekta Kapoor's dhum tana nana, this show was a breathe of fresh air with its realistic relationships & joint families.

Bhola is a prominent character as the house help & Akshara's rakhi brother. He has his own love story with another house help, Dhaniya (it has nothing to do with Akshara-Naitik). On another end, Akshara & Varsha have their own misunderstandings (that have nothing to do with Naitik). Simultaneously, Maheshwari's are having issues handling a teenage Anshu (this story doesn't involve Akshara). With Singhania's, the bahu to beti story meant how they eventually learnt to love their bahu's as their own children. Not a special promotion that Akshara got for being mahaan. Akshara-Naitik romanced/renewed their vows at everyone's wedding.. But privately, without stealing attention.

In older episodes, characters have personalities, growth, & their own lives. But in the Kaira-era, every family member & story is only a plot point for Kaira's love story. CVs are obsessed with them like a fetish.

Now, even YRKKH is a dhum tana nana show.

Yes you are right... Akshara and naitik is a brand and yrkkh was also a brand till akshara naitik were there...but now this kaira story is another crap like some other random ekta show

That’s what. Forget main supporting characters like Varsha Gayatri Mohit, even the minor supporting characters like Bhola, Rama, Gulabo everyone had a distinct personality and some storyline - small or long, which had nothing to do with the main leads. It added so much flesh to the plot and made for a truly interesting watch.

Now it’s all about Kaira and worse they keep butchering supporting characters for their villain of the week title

Old yrkkh was so slow... compared to the new one. The story was good but painfully slow that we didn't need to watch the complete episode. Just the precap/ recap showed the story. Atleast in the kaira episodes the story moves.

Yeah, I agree.

Feels like he has also made Kaira an ego issue since Hina & Karan's departure. Hina has manyatimes alluded to Rajan being pissed at them for leaving, when most other producers don't behave that way.

Tbh I didn't watch the old one. Saw it a couple of times and couldn't stand Akshara crying all the time. But it seems Naira adopted that trait. 😂

Old yrkkh is timeless. Never gets stale.

Kaira were also awesome for a long period of time but he killed their essence with their divorce . N divorce hi sahi , after that he again started kaira milan mission n again naira went missing and again milan and again and again and again. Goenkas never changed unlike singhanias . Kartik was degraded as a lover and husband. Naira always had to be the superwoman in everybody's life. It's time he brought new generation. Hogaya kaira ka story , abhi under the table romance nai dekhna.

So the mahaan kaira

1) snatch all the limelight during Keesh wedding

2) create a drama on Anmol & Mansi's wedding. Go for divorce. Later realise we dont want it & were forced

3) Even though kirti was pregnant the focus was the word cute.

4) He stole krish. Naksh was right there but couldn't name his own baby

5) Their confusion was so much that Vedika was made the villain for no reason

6) Poor kairav coz of their stupidity his initial years were so lonely.

Selling kaira in the name of being real & faulty.

Old yrkkh was a beautiful show.Akshara Naitiks story was presented very well. Daily watching the old episodes coming on tv

Now Rajan has got obsessed with kaira and just wants to prolong the show as much as possible totally ruining it in the process.
