But u find Ranbir one-note and Varun great? Explain that.

I really want to know what you see in Varun.

Myself 😆😆😆

No I don’t think ranbir is terrible. A good portion of his filmography come off as the same film by and large.

I’m just discussing Ranbir. I’m sorry I have just seen to many “let me go find myself” films from him. I still think this film coming has potential to be good. I guess I’ll try to lighten up but are you going to ask anyone who says anything anti Ranbir let’s agree to diss agree ? That could take hours or years 😆

herd mentality alert!

because he played that only in tamasha

in yjhd he was already aware what he wanted what his goals and ambitions were

in rajneeti he played a shrewd politician

in besharam he played who was not at all trying to find himself

in apkgk he played good hearted simpleton who was trying to help people around him

in bombay he played an ambitious gangster

in sanju he played to simply put it brat

in barfi he played a smart positive guy who had different outlook on life then others

and list goes on

It’s obvious that SV is a negative writer, no matter how much we want to say Grey, dark, obsessed, intense..the fact is it is negative. And that is one aspect I am truly tired of.

We can't judge based on only one earlier movie of Sandeep, we need to see more of his crafts before drawing a conclusion. And not to forget that Kiara has gotten enough popularity post Kabir Singh despite of her small role in it.

after seeing movies of ab, balraj sahani, sanjeev kumar, dilip kumar if i have to say ranbir is great actor i will not

hes one note actor

hes not all rounder

not get for action, comedy etc

brooding type yes

hes average guy

anil kapoor and govinda are better than him

yes compared to todays expressionless stars hes better may be

but hes not a all rounder or complete actor

nor his dailogue delivery and voice is great

In BW, the standards are so low that as soon as you do one “serious wala” role or are average looking (preferably not too good looking) you get called a “great actor”..

i understand that its going on nowadays but not list i gave

balraj sahni has done patriot roles, lover role, father role etc

amitabh bachchan has done action, emotion, family, comedy etc

sanjeev kumar did sholay, kamoshi kind of roles apart from typical bollywood

and dilip kumar was not only tragedy roles he did comedy, patriotic, lover boy, patriach etc roles

so what you say do not apply to my list of actors

they are great actors not one dimensional and can do any role in world

but ranbir does not fit

He’s a good actor. But the scenario you pretty much is what happened 😆 only in like 2016/2017 people realized it

Well he’s trying really hard to understate his looks and his dancing skills so that he can claim to be a “serious” aka “great” actor.. it’s just that it all comes off as extremely calculated and manufactured.. smiley36 in my opinion

Completely with you on this. Direction was top-notch in Kabir Singh but the misogyny was overboard.

Yeah direction, acting and songs were what was going for Kabir Singh... The story was a HUGE sore-point, and I don't mean just in terms of the sexist/regressive message...

The way both the "hero" and "heroine" acted was so ludicrous 😕 Like these two are supposed to be adults, and apparently highly intelligent and industrious ones at that (got into MEDICINE at such a prestigious college on merit )...

Again sexism and all aside, the fact that this was perceived as an intelligent or deep film by some shows the importance of direction, and what the makers want you to perceive, over what actually is...
