I essentially joined in around lockdown time, so I've only known Pooja as Rhea, and like Misfit, thought she appeared capable of doing a balanced job- the ability to invoke both sympathy/empathy and disgust from the viewer for her character. And this from someone who has only seen Pooja and Mugdha in this serial (haven't watched any previous serials of the two). I also think PB has had more scope to show her acting chops than MC (which could be a script thing) and seems to be doing a fairly good job of it tbh.

Mugdha is a decent actress, but seems to do better when her character is sassy. Not sure she's at her best in crying scenes (neither is Krishna IMO, the way he cried in the Dussehra hug was not his best).

Just my $0.02.

PS- if it makes any difference (not that it should), I'm male, and perhaps a tad older than the general folks on this forum (joined in 2010) so speaking from that POV...😊

Same here. Joined in 2007 when i was still a teenager. Far from one now.

Mughda does alot better when she's playing a fierce role. That suits her far better than a meek, crying puddle.

😱you are a guy me too I thought I am the lone wolf here.

I don't like pranbir crying scene myself, mugdha crying scenes were much natural in her previous shows, the problem here is the direction

The first slap scene was prachi's entry in RR college where she was ragged by rhea 1. I don't know the episode number someone here can help

P. S. What's your name I am manoj

I'm just generally done with the show. At a point where I don't care what happens. The Pranbir scenes thread is what I'm going to follow. The show is utter garbage and yeah that character is a utter nuisance and the extra SS given to her is due to Balaji camp partiality

I still can't take the absentee parent reasoning as there are many children who are born orphans think about the pain they go through. Not everyone will go around killing or involve in nefarious activities.

Parents worrying for problematic child more is so unfair on good ones and just doesn't sit right with me. It's like prachi is punished for being the mature good understanding daughter. They can shower all their loub on the undeserving brat but not on account of prachi. She literally said what their darling daughter did to her but what did they both do one raised their hand other asked to give false statement. So what should she do now be a problematic child herself so her parents can give an iota of attention to her

Anyways all the best for your essay, given your knack for analysing itv characters I am sure you will ace this one easily👍🏼

Dude totally agree on that. It's absolutely unfair for parents to behave this way. It IS poor parenting but the fact is people do it because they are generally flawed. Very, very rarely will parents really balance between their kids. That's how it's supposed to be but not many people manage to do it successfully. If parents were able to balance their lives and their attention towards their kids, it would really change a lot of things.

And unfortunately the mature kids always bear the brunt and suffer needlessly.

Sometime strength is a curse. People take you for granted because they think you can bear it but just because you can bear it doesn't mean its right or that it doesn't hurt. Everyone needs a break but the good kids rarely ever get one because their conscience never allows them to take a back seat. They're always trying to fix problems that aren't theirs to fix because it the 'right' thing to do. No matter how emotionally exhausted you are, you still keep going. In that sense the blame actually falls on societal expectations and how morals imbued.

And thank you. I have a series of essay's to write that i am clearly delaying. I think i have to log out for my own sake. I've procrastinated enough on fictional lives.

I actually wish prachi can be bit greyish. Mugdha can pull that off she did a bit in DV

Not even their parents can get in the middle of that.

How do you have twins how literally detest each other so much? I thought ITV was famous for making the twin connection / sibling connection a thing.

Yes. But in this story they decided to do this. Chalo good contrast with bollywood. Considering u had films where ek twin ko maar parti thi toh doosra bhi feel karta tha and yahan both twins are poles apart😳

Indeed, some of her acting in yesterday's gold digger scene to Ranbir was quite decent. Think assertive roles come to her far easier than passive, meek ones.

I don't like their crying scenes either but I have seen MC in PRC where her crying scenes have been much more natural. Krishna is a newcomer and I think he himself has admitted that emotional scenes are his weak point so I suppose he will gradually learn. I do think his emotional scenes during Dussehra were better than his previous emotional breakdown scenes but that's just my opinion.

Yes. PB would get a lot of scope on her character but somehow I feel that she isn't able to portray it well. Like I could still understand earlier Rhea but this one seems too whiny and therefore don't feel a ounce of empathy. I liked PB's earlier character well.

Mugdha is great at sassy scenes but there are some scenes where I really think she nails the crying/emotional part. I cried with her in that scene where Abhi meets her after the revelation. Although I am glad that Prachi does get a chance to be fierce in some scenes
