Aamir Ali really does believe in service with a smile!

Maybe it's the sweet smell of success, but this affable flight steward-turned-actor, who made it big post his win in reality dance show Nach Baliye3 is never seen without his trademark grin.

But what came as a surprise when we caught up with this chocolate-faced model during his recent visit to Lucknow, was that he started modelling only to earn some extra bucks. "I never had the slightest clue that modelling will take me to acting in tele soaps one day," confesses Ali.

But even for an actor by chance, Ali has gathered enough accolades in this short a while. And his negative turn in his latest soap, Kya Dil Mein Hai, has added another dimension to Ali's popularity. But Ali himself seems to be loving this love-hate relationship with his fans. "It was quite challenging for me," smiles Ali talking about his villanous turn, "But I can proudly say that I'm worth all this hate being directed at me from my fans."

Talking of soaps, we wonder what's his take on allegations levelled by Pulkit Samrat of Kyunki Saas... who accused Ekta Kapoor of not paying actors' dues. Ali, on his part, denies any such allegation against Ekta. "Ekta is a money bank and I wonder how Pulkit could have had money-related issues with her."

As for controversies, Ali admits that although the Nach Baliye3 win still has him on cloud nine, he has yet to get over the shock that the controversy queen Rakhi Sawant gave him on the last day of the show. "It was too much!", shudders Ali. "We knew that wherever Rakhi goes, controversies are bound to follow. But none of us were prepared for such childish behaviour from her," he adds.

Moving onto happier topics, Ali reveals that he is sanjeeda about tying the knot with long-time love Sanjeeda Sheikh. "We want to move on from this girlfriend-boyfriend status. In another year or so we will get married," he avers on a goodbye note.
