Yes, that's why I think she'll die for real in next week's ep. Unless the precap scene was a flashback, but I don't think (at least I hope) they won't have Jai kill Saasumaa off-screen, that'd be too anticlimactic.

IDK if Arjit is the new Markaat or whatever - I guess the "real" Markaat was not meant to be a person/cheel/whatever at all, he's their kul devta so could be played by anyone I guess. Maybe he's another Markaat minion...but IDK, I'm thinking it's a Mohit-Jai out, Arjit-whoever in situation, for some reason.

The precap scene was a flashback but I don’t think she’s dead yet. Hopefully anyway. Also arjit is a cameo he won’t be there for long. So if he’s markaat I would have expected him to have a longer role.
