DI happens when the one charts a wrong course it only starts the ball rolling, the 2some have to work on it

Like during marriage, Rani chartered a wrong course so that led to their marriage under divine grace

the cause is that Rani and Veer both life was endangered, so it was not any sacrifice of one for the other. It had to be done so that both were not sacrificed
