Part 3

The next morning, Kalyani woke up pretty late but she was feeling good after a deep sleep. She wasn't able to sleep very well in the past few days because of you know who so she was more than grateful to be able to sleep a little longer.

She got up, stretched herself and went to the bathroom to clean up and get dressed.

When she came out, she saw Malhar standing near the bed with a man, who looked like a doctor.

"Malharji, yeh doctor yaha kyu aaye he? Aapki tabiyat toh theek hena?," she asked genuinely worried.

"Are Kalyani, me theekh hu aur yeh doctor tumhare liye aaye he. Yeh check karne aye he ki kayi tumhe koyi infection ya virus toh nahi he jo tumhe itna teez bukhar hogaya," he replied.

'Hogaya mera kaam tamaam,' she thought.

"Lekin Malharji, ab meri tabiyat bilkul theek he aur fever bhi nahi he. Aap khud check karlijiye."

She took his hand and put it on her forehead.

"Woh sab theek he lekin firbhi ek test karwa hi lo. Woh kya kehte he...precaution is better than cure," Malhar said.

Kalyani unwillingly laid down on the bed while the doctor examined her. He didn't really do much examining. He just checked her blood pressure and heart rate.

'Strange,' Kalyani thought.

"Aapko ek infection hogayi isiliye aapko yeh injection lagwana hoga," the doctor explained.

Kalyani sat up with a jolt. Is he even a real doctor?

"Lekin mai toh bilkul theek hu aur mujhe kisi injection ki koyi zaroorat nahi he," she opposed.

"Kalyani itna ghabra kyu rahi ho. Ek injection hi toh he," Malhar tried to calm her down.

Kalyani watched as the doctor prepared the syringe. He was about to adminster the liquid but Kalyani moved away.

"Mai bimar nahi hu. Yeh sab ek naatak tha," she almost shouted while avoiding eye contact with Malhar.

She tried to divert the topic by accusing the doctor instead: "Aapko doctor kisne banaya, huh? Aap toh bina ache se examine karke hi injection lagane wale the. Agar mujhe kuch ho jaata toh?"

"Mai doctor hu hi nahi. Mujhe toh ACP saheb ne paise deke doctor banne ko kaha tha. Aur uss syringe me sirf pani tha," the fake doctor answered.

Malhar gave him the money and asked him to leave.

On the other hand Kalyani was praying to god to save her from Malhar's anger. Malhar closed the door and took steps towards Kalyani while she was backing of until she hit the wall.

"Mujhe bataogi ki tumne yeh natak kyu kiya?," Malhar asked surprisingly calm.

"Woh mai... mai chaathi thi ki aap... woh... Shruti se door rahe," Kalyani answered in a low tone.

"Kyu?"

"Kyunki mujhe uska aapse chipakna pasand nahi he."

"Kyu nahi pasand?"

"Kyunki aap mere pati he."

"Lekin humare dil me ek dusre kiliye jazbaat toh he nahi fir tumhe mujhe Shruti ke sath dekhar bura kyu lagta he?"

Kalyani didn't know what to answer. He was right, they didn't have any feelings for eachother. But the way he had cared for her yesterday was something she had never experienced before. The way she always felt safe with him was something she didn't feel with anyone else. And the way she gets jealous and possessive when somebody gets too close to him was just impossibly not love.

It wasn't the typ of love she had always read about in books or seen in movies. It was more than just feeling butterflies in her stomach whenever he got close to her. It was more than just wanting to get intimate with him. It was just indescribable in words.

"Jawab do Kalyani," Malhar whispered.

Kalyani suddenly realized how close he had gotten to her. She could feel his warm breath on her face and her cheeks turned into a peach color.

"Mai...woh," she tried to speak.

"Batao Kalyani," Malhar asked her to speak up while he brushed away a strand of hair from her face.

She buried her face in his chest.

"I love you Malharji," she declared.

Malhar smiled and hugged her back with one hand gently stroking her hair.

"I love you too," he answered.

Kalyani looked him in the eyes.

"Sachi?"

Malhar nodded on which her face started glowing with happiness.

He bent down a little and started sucking her lips. Though shocked at first, after a few seconds Kalyani too responded and started kissing him back. Her one hand was in his hair and the other one was was on his shoulder while Malhar's hands were resting on her waist.

"Waise Malharji mujhe aapse kuch puchna he," Kalyani said after they had broken their kiss.

"Hmm..."

"Agar aap mujhse pyaar karte he toh fir aap Shruti ke saath itna chipak kyu rahe the?," she asked.

"Woh sab ek naatak tha. Maine tumhe uss din Moksh ke sath baat karte hue sun liya tha toh maine soch kyu na tumhe thora chidaya jaye aur mujhe yeh bhi pata chalgaya tha ki tum bimar hona ka naatak kar rahi ho jab tumne kal sab apne Pillu ko bataya tha," he revealed.

Kalyani broke the hug.

"Haww Malharji, aap meri aur Pillu ki baate sun rahe the? Very bad! Iski toh aapko ek punishment milegi."

"Manzoor he."

"Toh theekh he, aapki punishment yeh he ki aap ko Shruti ko ghar se jaane kiliye bolna hoga," she said.

Malhar smiled and agreed.

He then 'politely' told Shruti to leave making up an excuse that Kalyani and he were going out of the city for a few days. Shruti was fuming and didn't even want to stay there any second longer.

In the evening Kalyani, Malhar and Pillu were sitting on their bed with a movie playing on the laptop. Kalyani's head was on Malhar's shoulder while his head rested on her's. Moksh was already sleeping in Kalyani's lap.

"Kalyani aur kitni ice cream khaogi. Kayi sach mai bimar mat hojana," he said.

"Malharji, mai nahi aap bimar hojate he ice cream kha kar," she replied.

"Bimar na sahi lekin moti hojaye gi. Mai chatha hu ki tum bilkul slim aur hot raho bilkul Shruti ki jaisi," he teased her.

Kalyani lightly hit his chest. "Khabardar jo uska naam liya toh. Aur mai moti bhi hojayu na, mai phir bhi hot and pretty hi rahogi."

"Mai mazak kar rahu hu Kalyani. Tum jaisi bhi hojayo, mere liye tum duniya ki sabse sundar ladki hi rahogi," he said and kissed her hair.

This girl is a gem and he is never going to stop loving her.
