Thanks for posting that, Kal-el!

Was happy that Novak won in Indian Wells, but getting beaten in Miami, in the first match he played, while he was the defending champion, wasn't really a smart move. The next big tournament is Estoril, which will be played on clay, so he has time to get his act together, and come in storming.

Rafa and Fed are still in Miami, and if it ends up being both of them in the final, I hope Nadal wins, although it is wishful thinking on my part. April may as well be the month Roger gets his first title in.

I'm hoping that his recent setbacks are because of his illness earlier in the year, but I still believe that Nadal has a shot at him, with his improvements on all surfaces. He is no longer strictly a clay player although I think he still haven't conquered hard courts yet.

Another question to ask: Should Federer hire back a coach? Connors maybe, since he no longer coaches Roddick?

Just heard that Roddick beat Federer! Is he losing his touch?! 😕

Few hours after I posted that Miami should be Roger's first title this year, Andy beats him in the quarterfinal. Certainly most unexpected, but kudos to Roddick, after so many tries. It must have been a nice feeling for him to break free of a bad record and streak against Fed.

@shellytt: Losing touch? Hmmm, I don't think so. I'm sure Roger will do much better in the Grandslam events, and even here, reaching the quarters, he has gained ranking points. Far as I can see, he just needs to get in rhythm this year, which he hasn't been able to do so, thus far.

Connors as his coach? I think that would be disastourous. I don't think Connors helped Roddick in any way with his game, maybe helped him a bit more mentally, but after their split Andy has performed better than ever, counting the past 2-3 years. Someone like Fed needs a Darren Cahill, but I cannot disagree with the fact, that it is high time he does get himself a coach.

And who would have thought Davydenko would've made the finals of Miami? He's had a great run, and I would love to see either one of the guys take it!
