And I absolutely love books with beautiful lines.. So this one's is in my favorites. I am quite sure that I will be reading it several times in the future.

Another good review. And your words just makes me more curious about the book. I originally added it to my tbr because of it's highly positive reviews and because it has been recommended by every "must-read" lists. And then I read about the controversy surrounding the book and it made me more curious. Hopefully I get to read it sometime soon.

I hope you like it as much as I did.

My book review on Crazy Rich Asians

CRA was a decent read with some fun moments. There were several characters and initially it was tough to keep track of who is related to whom so I had to keep looking up the family tree. I thought the book had great potential to be more fun but it fell flat for me because of the insipid lead couple. They were quite bland and a little “too normal” in a setting that is supposed to be more quirky and crazy. The other characters like Astrid, Eleanor Young (mother), Edison Cheng, Alistair Cheng with his gold digger girlfriend, Kitty Pong had a whole lot more potential to make the story fun and interesting had the focus been more on them.
The setting was so like Dharma films (K3G mainly), it surely could have done better with more humour.

Overall, it was an okay onetime read and despite being a long book, you get through it quickly.

It was a 3 star book from my side.

Those who have read It Ends With Us and not Crazy Rich Asians can share their review of that book instead.

My review of CRAZY RICH ASIANS.

Extravagant, loud and colorful are the words that comes to my mind while thinking about this book. There are so many characters that you abandon the need to keep up with them half-way through. I liked how the author tried to give equal importance to all of them. They had their stories and their issues. It shows that no matter how ridiculously rich you are, you still can be self-conscious (for example, Araminta). It was really well - written book and if it were not we would never be able to finish it, I think . I also liked how the writer ended each chapter with a joke. It always made me smile. Rachel and Nick were dumb. You cannot be in a two year long relationship and doesn't know about each other's families. Rachel wasn't even mad to find out how Nick had deceived her for two whole years. Nick was as clueless as little finger . They were made for each other.

I loved ASTRID. I also respect MICHEAL. They weren't just meant to be.

The scenes showcasing their wealth seemed a little made up. Or I, as poor person can't seem to relate with it.

I think western people would find the fun in the book as they are not close - knit families as Asians. We, Indians on the other hand could relate to nagging families in it on another level.

On the whole, I am glad I read it. It's quite a chill book. 3 🌟 from me.
