there r many families that get jealous of their own family members

like here, even if they live together, the whole relationship (of chanchal with others) is hollow

dharam pal needs to be supportive towards his family, especially kusum ji and garima-susheela, chanchal to har problem se khud ko nikal leti hai but kusum ji, only she is made to be blamed

dharam pal never thinks what goes on inside kusum, kabhi kabhi to unko dekh ke mujhe rona aa jata hai, but dharam pal, only society society society

while it was dramatic indeed, i think it was nice to have this "male supremacy" percpetion be showcased bc it shows how such stereotypical perceptions exist whether it is in city or small towns/rural life ...how one's ego can take a heavy toll on one and the ppl surrounding him/her...also, aside from this view, we also get to see how too much expectations can often influence even male-childs hence no wonder why puttu is at times really scared of failing to meet the expectations & tends to focus his energy on something he loves but dp tries to drag puttu w/o his consent & not let his daughters, who have the required talent to take over...i mean, there r those who dont even have sons but daughters so obviously they would bequeath the property to the daughters, right? imagine the taunts such families would have to bear and obviously it depends on how they take it because the families i know couldnt care less about traditional societal thought-processes...

yeah, but why couldnt he allow them to speak more aptly? i think the girls already figured this beforehand but said it verbally today...he's anyways timorous in front of dp, speaking in low voice, scared...technically everyone is scared to voice their opinion bc dp's in his own bubble & loves to dhamkofy his own family hence the terror, backstabbing, rebellious behavior...
