It did not get good ratings as it was on weekend 9pm slot when multiple reality shows ran at that time. In Life Ok version, the ML was initially a murderer prince who would kill anyone on orders of his adoptive dad but he respected women, children or any innocent person. The young villain was also a prince who wanted to marry CK for her beauty but after knowing she is not interested in him due to some of her acts which indirectly said that he wanted to make her his maid and warned her to marry him and be his maid or be ready for war. Her kingdom soldier strength was much smaller than his kingdom. She got ready to his condition but her dad and other kingdom people stopped her. Her dad got sick due to some reason so CK decided to become temporary ruler in his place till he is okay and accepted war challenge. Her stepmom was unhappy at her becoming ruler and her signing letters with royal seal and talked to her in alone in a bad way telling her she took rights of her younger brother(her own son) which she denied but anyway did not listened to her on stepping back. The ML who came to her palace for a mission gets to know the situation and decides to help her so he could also get the thing he came for. CK and others thought this ML as a wood-cutter not prince who met CK and group in jungle when she went to see the young villain before agreeing to marry him(imagine dating at that time). There were some more showdowns of young villain and CK via letters and even in person. So if in Ekta's version ML was like this then viewers would definitely demand to pair CK with the villain and she would show some twist that villain is Virendra while the guy who helped her is Shiv Dutt. So in that way she would stay true to book characters and viewers demands too. If Ekta can pair Preeta with a nasty and cheap guy like Karan over Rishabh then this would have been possible too.

It's okay. No need to be sorry. That was just a part of the track. Ekta is capable to pair FL with such a villain. Remember how she shown relation of Bindusar-Dharma in Chandra Nandini.
