Why they are making Pakhi wear Sai's mangalsutra?

How many observed Pakhi wearing a different mangalsutra in the night scene. Waise tho her nuptial chain has colour beads that keep changing depending on the color of her costume. But I didn't like her wearing mangalsutra similar to Sai's worn during night. They better give Pakhi some other design or just keep the day time one. Seems like their budget is so tight that they can't afford purchasing another mangalsutra for Pakhi. 😆But it kind of looks weird watching both the female leads wearing the same kind of nuptial chain. 😆

This is the first time we have seen Pakhi in her night gown. Most of the time she is parading around the house in her morning saree look. So questions is, has she always worn the mangalsutra at night after she retired to her nightly abode.

Unrelated question: why change of mangalsutra at night? So far I have seen three mangalsutra on Sai. The Vati Mangalsutra , small one with diamond design and one for the night.

Virat tied 2 mangalsutra around Sai's neck during their wedding and this is in accordance with their tradition. The mangalsutra worn by her at night is a simpler version of the day one and this is probably to keep herself comfortable while sleeping.

Pakhi like you said was never seen in a night gown before. She was always busy at night doing chowkidari near SaiRat room. 😆But she always has ample time in the day to change the color beads of her mangalsutra. 😆

Pakhi is always in league with Sai and she likes competing with her.

Maharashtrian women are given two mangalsutras during the wedding. One is the long one without any hooks or openings and has two watis-- one is filled with kumkum and one with haldi at the time of the nuptials. The watis signify the union of the couple.

It has to be just worn around the neck like a garland and it doesn't have any openings because it's supposed to be a continuous circle without any breaks. This mangalsutra is not worn everyday but on occasions and during Shringaar. The daily mangalsutra is the smaller one which just a bit longer than a choker and usually very minimalistic single black chain and a wati in the centre.

So Sai will wear the smaller one everyday, if she wears one that is ☺️
