Just finished watching epi 2 of Shaurya-Anokhi....

The mother-daughter scenes are so lovely....crisp and effective without going into too much melodrama despite the helplessness they are both feeling in different ways.

Anokhi's way of taking a stand is also well done without bratty naarebaazi.....she is firm about wanting to achieve her dreams per her capabilities and refuses to back down in the face of any emotional blackmail.....even that bit where she tells her mother ki mere par hain toh main udd hi jaaungi if my dad tries to force me into shaadi.....maa ke liye bhi she isn't willing to surrender to this helplessness.....bechaari maa bhi slapped her simply to save her from the father's wrath.....but otherwise she doesn't stop her daughter from spreading her wings.....interesting dynamic they share.

Baaki the suffocating misogyny that Anokhi is facing all round....again sadly not an exaggeration....bahut aise log and aisi families hain.

So that Aastha madam hi Noor hai....Shaurya ki mom.....so seems like she left her husband to pursue her career....and Shaurya ko yeh dikhaya gaya hai that his mom left him for her career.....I'm pretty sure baad mein dikhaa denge that this lady was put through some impossible choices for why she had to leave her kid behind. And likely that Shaurya will MU Anokhi cuz she looks up to his mom....

LMAO@ Razia Bi ka name being DEVI in this show😆.....I've never seen Alka Kaushal play a character who speaks crisp English before.....lol....kaafi modern character hai iska yeh wala.....baaki wohi typical family dynamic hai ki father ko nikamma bol diya hai and the taya-tai have established themselves as the heads of the family that everyone bows before.

It's probably too much to hope but I would like to see Anokhi continuing to stand her ground about not giving in to shaadi as end all and be all.....and please no to majboori waali shaadi of this MCP and Anokhi.....better they show them clashing ideologically for a bit. I guess initial part of story will have them clashing in the college where he teaches.....baad mein toh shaadi hi karvaayenge but I guess this Anokhi will not cow into any chauvinistic attempts to clip her wings and ultimately will "reform" the MCP pati....lol

The notable difference from Savage Devi Sai wala show is that wahaan ppl are flat over a pati "allowing" his wife to continue college post shaadi and helping her become a doctor....while here the girl is choosing to herself pursue everything on her own dum, kisi ki meherbaani pe nahin....especially kisi aadmi ki meherbaani nahin. The power imbalance is atrocious in that Sai wala show but it's being hailed simply cuz the girl maaroes blunt retorts? lol firstly why show an 18 year old in a shaadi, no matter how "supportive" her so called pati is? That is the fundamental problematic aspect of that "concept"......everything else is moot.

Very well said....Knowledge should ideally be accompanied with humility...but in some cases I guess it gives rise to false pride instead....the irony is that this then rots the very knowledge from which the sense of false pride originated....ultimately leaving a person with neither knowledge, nor their pride.....it's a self-defeating path to go on.

In RK's case, certain ppl just can't fathom ki these two aren't fitting into the constraints of timelines or societal norms.....despite the fact that Krishna said a 100 times that him and Radha are beyond time and space. Phir bhi, ppl remain hung up on the same point and keep twisting every random incident without seeing the larger picture.....lol Krishna isn't trying to "have" Radha anyways.....these ppl clearly don't listen to any of his dialogues😆.....Ofcourse he loves Radha but he isn't putting his duty towards Dwarka at any risk.....instead he knows that Radha's love is the basis of his and by extension Dwarka's functioning....it's all interconnected....if ppl bother trying to listen....but then again, philosophical takes are not for everyone I guess😆.

My bad , I actually saw it but forgotThey did show in the precap about Radha asking for moon thing.

Yes, it was a good epi with some story movement.....nice RK scenes, both in the Barsana FB and Krishna finally explaining to everyone why he can't intervene....bechaari Radha bhi finally came out of her dark circles and disheveled hair mode and restarted with a fresh plan by praying to Mahadev-Parvati😆.

I googled Sankat chaturthi, its mainly done to remove vidhna or hurdles and since Ganesha is the lord of removing hurdles, they do his pooja and break the fast after seeing the moon. If it falls on a Tuesday it becomes more auspicious and its called Angaarika chauth:)

Oh interesting....thanks for sharing this....yes, looks like they've built the story around this only since Ganesh will end up being the vignaharta when everyone else is helpless, including Krishna.

I'm just looking forward to evil Saambh ki CHOP again😆.....I hope Dau drags him big time🤣

Exactly! Just imagine the humbling of the great SSO as he discovers he so madly loves the girl who doesn't even have a last name.....has no idea about her family background. Their story actually navigated class divides in a pretty compelling fashion.....built the angst around it nicely. Shivaay wasn't the cliched sobby backstory wala ML....he had a genuine ideological gap with Anika due to his class conscious mindset....and it's the fact that they bridged that ideological gap in the process of falling in love that made their story compelling.

What struck out to me was that everyone is class conscious in their own way, but they don't want to admit it....to some extent, Shivaay's character highlighted what is a fact of society even though most stories show it in a cliched manner.

I really hate it when they completely change the story on its head within a week itself, its so frustrating 😆 If you guys continue with your detailed reviews , I might start watching it already😆

I really liked and enjoyed todays S9MK, watch it if you get a chance.

SD finally got fired😆 They actually argued a bit before she finally loses her patience and fires her. What actually led to firing was his words matched to exact words Veer said about her and then Veer was constantly calling her. I liked SDs dialogues today all of it. Its just heartwarming to see how easily he forms bonds and relationships with everyone.

He mainly argued that it’s probably his last anniversary with his wife, so it should be more emotional and about small things that brings happiness. Real emotions and not big gifts. I am so happy he was able to talk in a normal manner with Alia without getting bogged down😆

Veer called Alia for a meeting with divorce lawyer and asked for 50 percent share in all her properties. Alia ne bohot badhiya tareeke se usko baja dala🤣 The best was , she asks him to get up and turn around and says was checking if you had reedh ki haddi🤣🤣. She called him spineless, I really love the way she has dealt with Veer till now, she has maintained her class and dignity!

At home Rameshbhau and others try to cheer up SD and offer him the drink to forget everything, but SD is all pumped up to look for a new job 😆 I liked the arguments and back and forth here too. Both made valid points, SDs were ideologically correct and Rameshbhaus were based on what most people do on a day to day basis .

Precap: SD seems to be at someone’s house, I am guessing its Mr Poonawalas house, as someone kept calling on Alias phone and her phone died and then SD got a call and he says aap?

So he is decorating with balloons and Alia rings the bell and he opens the house and goes Tum? 😆

Execution does elevate the story. I am so happy Shivaay doesn’t have a sob story. He really is class conscious ( like Maya Sarabhai🤣) but most of the times you can relate to him 😆 Its just when he goes overboard it starts bothering.

I do agree with class consciousness, its most of the times present sub consciously without us even realizing it.

It would be interesting to watch their relationship grow in an organic manner:)

The two most important things that Krishna talks about is Karma and Dharma ( duty) . He left the very place he loved and most important people in his life, to follow his dharma !! He made Dwarka his Karmabhoomi, so why would he run away from his duty towards his subjects! Radhas love is what is keeping Dwarka safe and that’s the reason he did not want her to leave. Radha herself realized that and returned and Dwarka was saved. They just do not watch the show, but keep discussing about what actually happened according to them😆 Did makers ever claim that it is based on the ONLY valid version of the book ? Just read the disclaimer 😆

They are not concerned with the spiritual or philosophical take, they just want exact word word copy of what they read. Hisaab lagane baithe hai, kaha sahi hai kaha galat😆

Re: moon ka glow/vibration🤣.....yes, I saw it....ROFL the graphics in this show provide so much amusement.....woh Saambh all icicled out underwater during his tapasya....the "icebergs" floating on top of the ocean since Dwarka is suddenly in an Ice Age🤣.....Suryadev with his dark circles😆....the special makeup for all the Gods....Chandradev ko moon shaped teeka diya hai🤣 and they had some INTENSE eyeliner on Ganesh in the last scene🤣.
