She does! She probably loves him more than her parents. He's the one that raised her. That said, right now, Jen is going through a difficult phase. It's not only the teen years, but she also has to deal with low self-esteem issues, probably stemming from lack of confidence in her looks that we see in Chapter 3. Also, she knows she's adopted right from the start. She sees her handsome (and sought after) brothers being successful in romances, and feels even more diffident about herself. Besides that she's facing things like peer pressure, and trying hard to be accepted. There's a lot going on in a teen's life! In the middle of all this, the last thing on her mind would be to tell her brother how much she loves him. She does a lot, but it's in the background as of now! She has to sort out her issues first. Simon leaves her alone, but Ryan cannot because she's his baby!

May be Ryan's parents want him to be successful like them with no time at home...children who were grown seeing their parents not spending time with them....wants to relax and have their career always on the back seat.....

Ryan's dad does want him to be successful, but his mom is a softie. Anne has always had a stronger emotional core and she does say Ryan is more like her. And Ryan also wants to be successful (who doesn't) but more importantly, he's a man of integrity and it doesn't come easily to him to compromise his principles. Recall how upset he is with his mom for the favor she asked from Tyagi. He is also fiercely independent and wants to make it on his own terms. It doesn't mean his career has taken a backseat. And as for family having more importance than career, right now, he's not even sure he wants a family. He thinks he'll suck at it. I have also seen children with busy parents who turn out exactly like them and want the same things they do. So it all depends. Ryan is passionate about what he does, he loved his job in London and would do anything to have it back. He was brilliant at it. And he probably learned to have a strong work ethic from his parents. That's one thing they have both taught him, or he's imbibed it from them. It's just that in this case, his feelings got involved. He trusted Michelle and she betrayed him. That's his emotional core that came into play here. Just shows what sort of man Ryan is.

When am reading chapter 3 again, can feel the amount of effort you have put in to go to details....very impressive...👏

Christmas is a big event in the place you live in???

I only have holidays till 28th. And then the long weekend in the New Year.

Christmas is very big where I live but the government has placed restrictions now for covid so there’s not much people can do. It’s sad really. It’s the time to meet families and we can’t do that now.

I’m super duper busy too, have just acquired a puppy so very busy being a doggie mamma! 😳

I find the Ryan chapters to be more wholesome in terms of everything they address. Sara’s POVs are more to do with her personality and how she deals with things but Ryan’s are more about other people and his perceptions of them as well. It’s interesting that I noticed this later, never planned on writing the chapters this way!
