I finished It Ends With Us last week.

Wow. What a powerful story! The night I finished it, I was absolutely in love with it. That being the main reason why I took some time before giving my thoughts and well, I am still in love with it!

CoHo is such a brilliant author. I have only read Verity before this and that was one of my favourites of last year! It's too early to say this but I think she is the only author after B.A. Paris who I have come across having a compelling writing style. Once you start, you just can't stop!

I appreciated Lily's resilience and courage so much. It's difficult to remain strong when you are in a helpless situation. You keep remembering all the promises you have made but at the end, always choose what's best for you. I am trying to keep this very vague.

Maybe not for the story but I would definitely return back to this book for the lessons I learnt!

--------

I took a break from Anxious People to read this book. Hopefully, I will finish it this week! Don't know what's taking me so long.

I am a bit hesitant to pick up Crazy Rich Asians as am not sure if it's my cup of tea!

I have to try out books by BA Paris now! Which one should I start with?

Behind Closed Doors is the best one! The Dilemma is also really good.

Oh no Shanam. I just compared their method of writing.

BA Paris writes mystery/thriller.

Now that I am getting a hang of the characters and the plot, I find it more enjoyable than the first one. And Astrid keeps getting better

Even I have never heard of her

@Anam: Yes, I've been told that Tolstoy had a tendency of taking off on unnecessary tangents out of nowhere, which both increases the length of the book and might make it less interesting for many. Now that you say that too, I'll keep that in mind before taking up his books. But finishing Anna Karenina still is an achievement...feels like a milestone in classic reading, so that's great. And you enjoyed it too, so that gives me encouragement.

I'm going to take up the shortest book, whichever that is. I also got my hand on Maupassant's short story collection a while back and was liking it but had to stop due to exams. Now, I might give it another try.

@Shanam & Unique.Sheep: I’m glad you’ll liked Crazy Rich Asians. Your initial reviews made me apprehensive about picking up the book even though I chose it. I just started reading it last night and I’m 40 pages in. Since it’s a trilogy I think the first 100-150 pages must have been introducing the characters in detail and laying the foundation for the story to unfold.
