I'm now wondering whether they did want us to feel a bit unsettled about Veer, at least in the beginning of the date, because he takes her to this "khandar"-type place and there's this whole sequence of him just not saying much, and you wonder if it's leading to him being all "surprise Adi Naagin, I brought you here to die" . I'd say this would more of a Joss Whedon-worthy twist than an ITV one 😆 but maybe the point was for us to feel a little uncertain, so that when Veer does his "dafaa ho jayo" we feel the impact more? But then, they did explicitly show his purple eyes at that point, which makes me feel they're differentiating between that and "normal" Veer. IDK, really, but I guess I'm still of the mind that they couldn't possibly do that level of dhoka with the fans, let alone their lead couple.

I agree. The drink was more to indicate the trust and comfort. At times like these Veer usually voices the emotion of the fans. But I found it rather, dare I say, forward? For an ITV FL to be drinking willingly. They are the sati savitris. Bani did hesitate but more because she thought she's be high rather than "mein aisi type ki ladki nahi hoon" .

Wouldnt have mattered otherwise even but just a thought I had seeing her drink on her own.

That is my only defense for this too. If Veer did it under influence, that would be a major blow to the couple and the essence of VaNi. It would be ruining them. They can't redo that. Why? Oh why couldnt they just have added a few minutes of explanation there?

There were definitely certain points where I did feel with absolute certainity that it was our Veer. The 'neeche kuch pehnoon' waala scene where he looks down 😆, the light banter with Bani on the bed, the scene where he catches Bani undressing through the mirror and tears his gaze away, when he sees her in his shirt (that was smexy ☺️) and when he sees his initials on her mehndi and was so genuinely touched. Those moments had me convinced and I will hold on to them only. Baaki ka baad me dekhlenge.

Yeah there was some ruckus over Veer's expressions in the difficult love scenes. Eventhough, I didn't feel the same then, I hope its nothing this time around too.

It's like they give us a sweet dish but add a pinch of salt on it.

Tapeera being involved is fine, obvs. Of all the cheels, Tapish is the only one who likely cares that Veer is not behaving the way he normally does, and he also doesn't want to destroy Bani 😕...yeah, I really hope Jay doesn't know and Bani rocks and Jay gets shocked when he realises it was all so she could get her husband back in line 😆 mazaa aajaye if that was the case, but who knows. You're right - that way, Jay has a reason for his mayoosi-wala hair cut and evil revenge plans.

I don’t think sky girl will stay beyond two episodes or three. Hopefully. We might get another person for Jai. They love a new entry - wish they would get Mayuri back I also this marriage track will also prove to Veer that bani will choose him over jai always- this time consciously 😆

Please don’t mention Joss Whedon twist. It breaks my heart remembering his twists I don’t think Veer was hypnotised he was too calm and sweet. Possessed Veer isn’t like that. The editing was rubbish unfortunately so it wasn’t made clear to us unfortunately.

Yeah I did think it was different for them to have the FL willingly and happily drink. Not that it mattered... they are catering to a certain audience. Plus, its Naagin. But yeah, it was forward of them. And then not have her completely drunk too.

Imagine her waking up and asking Veer. Mujhe kuch yaad nahi hai. Kal.raat kya hua tha? Veer's "dhoka" would have been as good as nothing. 😆 They should have actually gone for this lmao

Dude, me too. That's why I had this whole Angelus feeling coming from the promo, which annoyed me more. It was one thing in BtVS...the angst was great but that was like two decades ago...and all I want for Vani is for her NOT to stab him through the heart with a sword just at the moment he's free of his possession 😆 which I don't think is that likely, just FYI 🤣

I agree though - Veer may have had more "thanda" reactions than usual but I don't think it was because he was possessed. It was more likely that they were going for sweet and calm Veer, and highlighting Bani's intensity for him more this time. Which I'm fine with, tbh.
