Welcome to Sajjanpur(2008)

I just watched this movie yesterday and I loved it. Such a sweet, simple, and heart-warming film. I loved the movie's premise of showing that even small villagers can have big dreams, and also I loved how socio-economic realities were depicted without being boring or heavy-handed.

Shyam Benegal creates a sunny universe populated with lovers ( both doomed and normal), tender dreams, and harsh realities. I loved how realistic the characters were. Shreyas Talpade and Amrita Rao were so good in their roles, they deserve all the accolades.

Has anyone watched this movie? Please share your thoughts. I found it an underrated gem.

I loved the film. I watched it during the time it released I think it was 2008.

We totally enjoyed this movie when it came out 12 yrs ago n where I learned term kukkar for 🐕 lol everyone was so good in this movie
