Even in today's episode Arshi was not the one who started with parents. Infact all this while during her fight/ torture or whatever one calls it, she did not get parents involved. VG was the one who bought them into the picture and if she reacted on that then what is wrong.

Well regardless she had gone to parents or not VG had already premeditated her push in the pool.

He clearly said, he is not. Now, saying Ram chahiye toh baki sab characters bhi to Ramayana no ho. There's nothing wrong in that statement.

In my personal opinion, I don't find him saying anything derogatory or even plain ridiculous for that matter. Isn't it really common? A lot of kids feel the same - about their parents' expectations - that they want their kids to achieve perfection but they fail to apply it to themselves. It's literally one of the most common complaints I have heard.
