On a personal note, this show achieved the unachievable.😆 I don't want to see Krishna on screen for another 5 years at least. I was waiting to see Govinda from Aryavarta Chronicles, now I don't want to see even that awesome interp of Krishna.

Radha I don't care about much because she is fan fic acc to 99.9% of analysis out there. But the portrayal of this character on TV has been terrible. AND she is lauded as perfect example of womanhood. In a country where actors are called heroes, this is nothing less than messing with the minds of future generations.

@Bold - Totally. This awful portrayal is damn preachy and claims to be the epitome of perfection despite its glaring issues. A huge chunk of the viewers comprises of impressionable teenagers.

I don't understand why history/mytho shows cannot show women with agency. Don't tell me they won't be successful. Look at Bahubali. Devasena was incredible, and her hero was as feminist as he could get, coming off all the more powerful for it.

It isn't as though they would need hunt far. Panchali, Kunti, Satyavati - they were all awesome forces who thought on their own and didn't need Krishna or any other man guiding them. These were Iron Age characters. Radha, even in Gita Govindam, was written as a powerful woman. A character written in 14 C.

Then, why this nonsense gets peddled by production houses in the NEW MILLENIUM?!

Even when showing Panchali as a strong woman in Star Mahabharata, they showed her decisions guided by Krishna. Patronizing, as though women can't think on their own. Why, when Vyasa wrote her as an incredibly intelligent, articulate, and self-willed woman. In fact, Vyasa described her intelligence in a way he described no other character's, including Krishna's. He described her firm ethics, her ideas on dharm/adharm. But all shows portray is her physical beauty.

Problem is...makers fail to understand onething..they could have used some other names instead of rk..it spoiling real rk character here..Radha character is not this at all..we must learn something from mythological shows..How we learn from lord Rama how to be a ideal kid , husband , king..what lord krishna of swastika and Radha teach here..yes Why can't they show bold , smart and intelligent.. Discrimination totally

The problem is that TV serial / show is a product for a production house and tv channel. That needs to be sold to the audience and skimmed for as much profit as possible.

That means as soon as a show captures a target audience and starts getting tv ads it needs to be dragged for as long as possible to milk every drop of profit from it.

The PH or channel will not stop the show till it is getting ads. And the show will get ads as long as certain minimum number of audiencw regualrly watch it.

Radha krishna story ended with Krishna leaving vraja and that ended in the first 50 or so episodes. But this particular shows fan base consists of the actors fanbase who want tp keep seeing them romancing on screen, so the story will get dragged like this.

Now this was fine for Ekta saas bahu soaps and now the nagin series, where she keeps nonsensical plots and drags a story for 1000s of episodes.

But is not ok for a mythologies which have more or less a fixed story.

The problem is that this a profitable business model for swastik and whichever channel he pitches the show to. So its not going to stop

He made a saas bahu soap for Karna and now Krishna and Radha. Remember the PH actually brought a saas Jatila or Kutila whatever here.

Who wants to bet on the next mytho/histo charachter to be destroyed for swastik and similar PH to make money
