Yep, and the direction deffo brought out the significance of that moment by lingering on that shot of both of them stepping forward into their new home together.....they wanted to reflect the symbolism of them entering their home as husband-wife properly for the first time....a home they would end up building together....unlike in the case of Vasant where he brought Gulaal home but they never really got to enter that house together in that ritual.
It was really nicely shot! It really felt like their Grah Pravesh as a husband and wife. In Vasants case the ritual remained incomplete, Gulaal removed the gath bandhan, even the accident happened when they were going to finish the ritual of offering the chunnar to mataji!!
This show did not depend on spoon feeding the audience at all. Making everything so obvious and OTT thereby loosing the subtlety and natural feeling of the proceedings!
Wohi toh.....there are just so many themes that make it worth revisiting and savoring....like the "aur tu?" theme....this was Kesar's standard repeated phrase to Gulaal in many scenes in the first 2 months especially....whenever she would be busy excitedly chattering about something, Kesar would interject with a "Aur tu?"....he always had this need to know what SHE is thinking, what SHE is feeling....duniya jahaan se isko kabhi koi matlab nahin tha - Gulaal was his world
.....but Gulaal on the other hand was always consumed about doing baaki sabki fikar and not dwelling on what she herself was thinking/feeling.....so that is why Kesar had to be her destiny - since he was the only one who always circled back to trying to connect her with her own thoughts/emotions.
Gulaal was so immersed in fulfilling Vasant dream, she did not realize when she stopped living for herself. Every time Kesar asked Aur tu? he was so frustrated, angry with Gulaal because she did not spare a moments thought to herself and Gulaal would be visibly taken aback, you see her either trying to avoid the question by ignoring or in later phase she just literally said, sach mein kahu? Nahi pata. As you said Gulaal will be so busy chattering away about her plans about everyone and how they will be happy, Kesars simple aur tu? made her stop right in her tracks, even though just for few seconds. It just brought out Gulaals vulnerability and you can clearly see that she the fear that she tried so hard to hide about what will she do?
Kesar had to literally chip away at the wall she created for herself and that was one humongous task.
And on Gulaal's side, the repeated phrase used to be, "Kahaan tha tu, Kesar"? She said it first in that scene when he tends to her all night but later on during the 3 month DV trial phase and after the DV breaking phase, there are many moments when Gulaal says with so much emotion, "Kahaan tha tu, Kesar?".....she even says it in the last scene when she finally confesses with a "Mat Jaa".
Kahaan tha ty Kesar was really one thing that made you go, you can’t live without him woman, accept it. 😆The smile on her face when Kesar tended to her and the relief of finally getting her Kesar back was so palpable. I remember her mat jaa during 3 month DV trial, the first night at their new home and she very hesitantly tells him, mat jaana mujhe yaha akele nahi rehena. I don’t remember the other Kahan that tu:( Final mein Kesar even tells her thodi der tujhse dur chala gaya to tu itna pareshaan ho gayi, mere chale jaane ke baad kya karegi😳
This is what makes you savor the story more....it never relied so much on formal confessions....their words and gestures conveyed so much more about the depth of the love and emotion between them.

I just remembered I watched that scene yesterday, where Kesar does chulha jalao to warm milk for Gulaal. In the new home when he tries to help Gulaal, she tells him tere bas ki baat nahi hai😆
Arey baat toh sach hi tha na.....lol Kesar did call dibs on Gulaal first.....Vasant bha beech mein aa gaye temporarily....but dibs are dibs
....Gulaal toh ek hi thi and was always meant to come to Kesar only.....Vasant bha ko temporary safekeeping ke liye hi mili thi
