He let his arm slide down after hugging her and just grabbed her hand possessively

“So? What do I owe the honor?” he smiled his eyes dancing with happiness

“Your Dad tricked me, he said Mr Nahar wanted me to meet someone” she smiled nervously

“Wonder what excuse would he have used if you two did not work together” he leaned on the wall pulling her toward him

“Raanav we are basically in a glass room” she protested weakly

“Don’t u think I don’t know that” he groaned

“You are so well dressed for a plane ride… I mean in a cool casual way” she sighed

He bend down and whispered in her neck “Thanks Viveka Mathur”

“You even shaved?”

“Hmm.. I didn’t want to get off looking like a slob”

“You never look like a slob” her eyes widened in appreciation

“You are making me not wanna go” he laughed biting his lower lip

“I will come up with something really uncomplimentary now” she closed her eyes and took a deep breath

Waves of separation anxiety swept through her

Her voice cracked “You are just so uncaring to go away so frequently” she whispered hoarsely

He expected a joke his expression changed

“Vivekaa??’

She opened her now red eyes

“Uffff” “I cant say anything mean… kya kahoongi tumse” she sniffled

“I am so sorry” he sighed grabbing her left hand with his right, and gently stroking her cheek with the back of his fingers of his right

“I cant go with you every time or even one time” she said grimly

“We can talk about that” he nodded

“No I am not saying you should cut down or not go”

“I know”

“We are from the opposite worlds… the odds of us ending up together were less than zero” she sniffled and chuckled pushing her glasses up

“Those odds are very exciting to me” he smiled softly

“If I hadn’t accepted your proposal you would hate them… or if”

“A pragmatic economist and a gift of gab lawyer” he sighed and began to laugh softly

She turned pink when he combined their professions like that

“When you tease me it makes me nervous” she declared feeling her belly muscles clench with excitement

“I will try and do it more Viveka” he rubbed her blazing hot cheek again

“I would give you a goodbye kiss… matlab… totally” she stared at his mouth and then looked into his eyes

“I say we throw caution to the winds and go for it”

“Set a “precedent” for airport kissing you mean?”

He smiled gloriously revealing perfect teeth, her legal analogy turned him on

“Viveka I am going to stay up on the plane wondering how the heck did you say yes” he whispered

“Ive been thinking about it too” she grabbed his caressing hand and held it on her neck

“Thank u for making me part of your esteemed thoughts” he whispered

“I am not esteemed or anything… tumhe”

She stepped back when staff member walked outside, “trying” not to look

“He must be wondering what the social worker is doing with the elite” she laughed as they both darted a glance out

“Just surprising the man she digs” he offered an explanation and watched her blush again

“You do have a way with words”

“Phew… thank heavens I didn’t choose Accounting then?”

They both laughed uncontrollably

Simmering tension erupted into a blaze of passionate jubilation

He bend down and stole a intense but brief kiss

Her blood roaring through her veins, she could hear her pounding heart in her ears like a drum

He bend down to receive the hot, damp salute that awaited him

“raanav… don’t go” she found herself swaying toward him like a tuning fork, as he tried to steady himself by gripping her smooth bare waist

“Ughhhh” he growled stumbling away from her, she did her signature “Ufff” and pushing of glasses

They both leaned back on the glass wall and surveyed the what was a somewhat private flyer resting cubicle area

A few men and women were bent over their laptops

“What do u usually do on a plane?” she asked turning toward him, much calmer

“Work or sleep”

“U should watch movies”

“I might get drunk, or get a cold shower tonight” he growled sitting down with a curse to hide his arousal

“My Dad was going to go meet your parents” he said firmly

“Oh?” the heart pounding was her best friend now

“If you didn’t have classes some week could you go?” he asked innocently

“You would never get any work done”

“On the contrary I would get LOTS done” he winked and reached for a bottle of water

“That sounds insanely attractive right now” she moaned

“I am not wanting to wait 6 months Viveka” he said bluntly

“I am just afraid you might be rattled to realize how boring I am” she smiled

“You should have been a lawyer …. the way you torment the opponent” he said slowly..

“I am not very proud of myself this week Raanav”

She hung her head

“I am blown away by how truthful you are” he said with a long sigh

“I cant lie to myself can I” she looked up at him

“why do u hate yourself this week?”

“I should have told Abhishek sooner, in my mind I led him on while getting close to you at the same time” she got it out with long pauses

“He doesn’t deserve the honesty” “Is what comes to mind immediately Viveka”

“Aisa nahi hai Raanav… that’s not me” she shook her head

“I proposed to you, you did not make the first move”

“I agree… but I acted like I didn’t have to share that with him”

“You told me off remember?” he asked piercingly

“The non disclosure (hiding it from Abhishek) bothers me Raanav” she said softly

“Hes a grown man he can deal with it” he said trying not to be too blunt

Thank you for the update, Nisha. I love how they both are communicating. Nisha, can you tell us how and why Viveka said 'Yes'? Dying to know what made her say 'Yes' and how Raanav reacted... 😳

Philanthropy

Being wealthy does not automatically disqualify her to work with the underprivileged. In fact she can be a figure to look up to by all the wealthy circle. She can bring more attention to the cause.
